Norman Baker

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
Why is it that Norman Baker, always contacts me with the same blurb asking for my details, so that he can write a reply? i.e. Find out whether I am in his jurisdiction. As if to say, this is a local issue for local people.

Then why on earth should we care about something like this....

Baker Early Day Motion -

"That this House deplores Google's decision to launch a censored version of its search engine in China; believes this can only encourage China to continue its draconian policy on freedom of expression and democracy; and calls on the Government to make clear to the Chinese authorities its strong concern and doubt about China's commitment to bring democracy and freedom of expression to its people in the light of its continued policy to only allow companies that have signed a censorship agreement to run internet-based businesses within the People's Republic of China."

Surely this is a local issue for local people?

If we are, as a nation to take interest in this, then surely he should put up with outside 'inteference' on this case. Plus, if he is trying to protect the downs from all those millions of ramblers then it is an issue that should be dealt with openly....

Not Luton! Thank God
Every civil servant i know hates him. He asks 1000's of Parliamentry questions wasting god knows how many millions of £s in the hope that he uncovers something interesting.

Very occasionally he does but its really very lazy work.
