FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
Im delighted Craig Noone is now getting a run in the side and hope he now stays in it until the end of the season.

When he joined we were on a great run of form and that has just not stopped to warrant Gus putting him in the side.

He continued to make significant contributions from the bench though and now given a couple of starts recently I think we are starting to see the best of him.

A lot of out goals of late have come from his play or final ball.

Looking forward to seeing him play in the Championship next season.

What a bit of business that was. Excellent scouting, and contracts done and dusted quietly behind the scenes.

I feel a bit bad for Argyle - I know all is fair in love and war - but even still .................

Not sure him & Bennett will play regularly from the start, as we seemed short in the centre of the park last night.

His work rate and endeavour was great last night, however on a poor pitch his touch was uncertain at times.

The best thing about Craig, is that the can really only get a lot better under the tutelage of Gus and Tanno. He has an abundance of raw talent which I think our coaching team can make the most of. Particularly when used as a sub he has as much influence as Lua Lua, and he's not done too bad in his starts either.

Alongside Glenn Murray he's very effective now in knowing he can lay the ball off to someone.

Remember at school kickabouts you had one lad who was talented, but he knew he was tricky and hogged the ball ALL the time?
You knew he was a good player to lay it off to, but when you got into a great position or he'd drawn several defenders - he never gave anyone the ball! Thus you suffered, the team suffered, and it wasn't as much fun playing alongside him. Often the opposition would win too, by just stopping him - and then passing the ball well while your side was lured up front waiting for this 'brilliant' idiot to get done showing his amazing skills off and not passing to anyone.

If the team is going to win matches, brilliant ball-players have to trust their fellow team-mates all across the park. Up front it's the last ball that often gets the glory, so it's great to see 'assists' getting mentioned. 20-goal-Murray can be thankful for a team effort too, as he's able to gain the spotlight with that incisive ball that effectively makes his part that bit easier.
Good job well done from our forwards (and the team) - who apparently only managed a couple of shots last night but scored from one.

I didnt go last night so cannot comment on his ball control then but generally I have always been impressed with his first touch and close ball control also the height he gets when jumping for a header for a little chap.

He still needs to improve his first touch.....it was a bit lacking last night...but he is still young..

I was in the side stand with the home fans and have to disagree. The quality of pass to him was lacking and to be honest he did really well to bring the ball under control. He was also up against a quick and tencious defender.

That said he did not have the greatest of touches when he did get a chance rto run at the defence.
