Not trying to start a rumour, but he came on the pitch and clapped the fans and players in his shell suit and puffa jacket, was he saying goodbye.:albion2::albion2::albion2:

Actually, quite a lot of the players came over and clapped - are they all leaving?

Gus lead the players over to the fans and clapped - crikey where is he going?

I think he was actually saying the opposite. I am staying and i want to stay he was showing his support to the fans. He was never gonna leave especially after the FA cup draw. But if as been posted the final bid was 1.2 million - i would have been tempted to sell. Tin hat time.

He was quite clearly making it apparent that he is here and chuffed to be so. christ alive.

Funny, I loved him for coming over, and it was so obviously a positive show of alliegence that I'm amazed people misread it entirely..

Gus lead the players over to the fans and clapped.

Gus doesn't do that very often. I think he, his staff and the players all appreciated the blast of noise from across the pitch.

Turning down £1.2m+ for Nooney is the best news of the last 24 hours, because it says we mean business long-term. Hats off again to Tony:bowdown:

Maybe now other clubs will realise we're not "liitle old Brighton" any more & we can afford to hang on to our better players rather than having to sell them to the first lot that comes along.

We have arrived!!!!

Nooney confirmed he wasn't going anywhere yesterday afternoon when my brother and his mates saw him at Croydon station
