I have Albion+ because when I can get to Brighton for a match I get tickets on the exchange. However being low priority because I only travel to Brighton a couple of times a year , what’s left at Wembley today is not a lot , I’ve watched England from the £30 top tier the other problem being I have to get the 19.27 train home (arrive 00.30) or I’m stranded - if I could’ve got decent seats I would’ve forked out for accommodation in London but not for top tier behind the goal

I suppose thinking about it In reply to @Bozza original point , I have no problem paying for Albion+ but it hasn’t got me what I want for Wembley, I would even consider buying a ST next year and putting it on the exchange simply to get a better option next season at Wembley/Europe etc - I was ready to book accommodation for the final at full time in the semi but I guess there will be less options for seats there?

Probably, although it depends on the fixture. If a popular one, you would need MyAlbion+. Even then you might struggle if it's e.g. Palace.

A less popular one, you might be able to get a guest ticket if you know a season ticket holder, or pick one up on the Exchange. I don't know how often things go down to general sale now, sorry.

Membership gives you no guarantees, but more chance, if you're able to afford it.

If I were in your position, I'd wait until the fixtures came out and then decide. But bear in mind there's a 14-day window from joining MyAlbion+ before you can buy tickets.

But as @Midget said you will absolutely need a membership of a sort for some European away games. Every away game here in NL for example is what we call a 'bubble match' meaning you have to go on club coaches and pick up your ticket in the coach. Face and ID info is on the ticket, no chance without membership will that happen.

Games in NL, Germany, Belgium and France will sell out for sure. Whether an away game in Romania, Kosovo or anywhere with a seriously worrying lack of vowels, will also sell out, is another thing.

The final allocations are tiny. 4k for each team in the Conference league final, and it’s not much better for Europa at 10k each.

Standard is 5% minimum in each competition for other games.

I'm already a member as are my two boys but I'll definitely buying membership for my other half next season as not getting her a membership means none of us will be going to the semi final! Such a rookie mistake.

So why can’t you all buy now and the. Ask a friendly STH to get one on its own/as near as possible?! There are 4,000 left so shouldn’t be an issue!

I'd feel too guilty about her not coming and I'm not sure I could deal with the fall out!

Plus in all honesty, they're only young (6 and 8) so could do with both of us being with them for an all day out to London with a massive crowd, will be a bit different to what they're used to at the Amex.

As I say, it's my own fault for not thinking ahead. Her not being a member has never been a problem until now!

Nope. Financially I had to give up my season ticket end of 20/21 season. This season I went to the Palace home game as that went to general sale so didn't need the membership and I'm happy with seeing the enemy as my single game at the Amex. My eyesight is fooked at the moment anyway, Amex upper tier was just about ok but at Wembley... I just won't be able to see diddly from the cheap seats. And this season I am enjoying watching streams with my v elderly dad at their place and will be nice to watch the semi with him without being wary of porn popups that will upset mother dear. When I can afford more games i might be able to get a season ticket but if not yes will get the membership I guess. It's a ripoff though and I don't feel like the chap above that I need to support Tony B, I've put plenty of money into the club from the late 80s onwards when we were proper dire.

I'd imagine 10k in Albania or Prague would actually probably go down to membership. Paying for Wembley is one thing, paying for bumped up flights and hotels plus the actual ticket for an event in Europe is another thing. 10k tickets is roughly 45% of season ticket holders each paying at least the cost of a season ticket for a final.

How do A+ points work?
Presumably you only get points for actually buying a ticket, i.e. not for being the recipient of a shared Season Ticket?

This is my understanding - ie no points for receiving a shared ST. You also get bonus points for having A+ in consecutive seasons, like with ST points.

Can any recent MA+ members confirm whether joining adds to you the season ticket waiting list 1) assuming there is one still and 2) are you told your place in the queue?

Myself and elders are currrent season ticket holders but it marks as reminder to think about adding youngest to the membership now as he’s about 2-3 years away from coming.

We timed it relatively well last time with my eldest as the planned roll rate of 2,000 a year on the waiting list was quite accurate, before covid anyway

I'm in two minds:
- I can only make a couple of games a year due to living away from Sussex, having a young family, and not really knowing other Brighton fans to go with. So a membership would make those 2-3 games quite a bit more expensive once averaged out
- I don't like the principle that fans who are hard of cash are being further priced out of games. Going to a game - particularly an away game - is a huge expense these days, when travel/food etc are included
- If I get a membership and we make the semis next year, there's no guarantee of a ticket - the rules could well change to "membership + so many points" as the minimum priority level, if there are too many 23-24 members

...but, if we're in the same situation next year then I'll be kicking myself for not getting one.

I'm going to make a guess that there'll be an increased uptake of ST exchange tickets for the 5 remaining home games if we make it to the final as A+ members try and make sure that they have the best chance of upping or maintaining their priority level.

They would of course have to attend the games as well

I’ve had a membership for the past 10 years since giving up my ST. It auto renews, I get sent some gifts in the post every June and I still use the phone charger from a few years ago. It’s meant I keep a foot in the door for tickets (been to every home game this season) and special occasions like Wembley. Hopefully I’ll be able to get another ST for next season. Well worth the £2.50 a month.

Speaking as someone who has *had* membership all this last season, the process has put me off membership, when it’s membership and loyalty for the FA cup, and for league games it’s membership and then a variable number of tickets per membership each time. Highly frustrating and feels arbitrary, and to an earlier point I wouldn’t be surprised if there’ll be an Albion+ premium tier at some point.

I still won't be bothering buying 'membership'.

We have a few thousand tickets on sale for each home game. I’ve gladly paid £30 for the season and get the pick of those tickets ahead of any general sale. The early bird offer for members I think it was for Forest at home was just £20 for a ticket. I’m quite happy to stay a member.
