Trump is a deeply flawed individual and a terrible President but it would be churlish not to admit his erratic behaviour has (by accident or design) shaken up the Korean penisula stalemate and led to a chance of real progress in that region.

Or you could look at the situation, that now that North Korea has nuclear weapons they are happy to approach talks from a position of more strength than when they didn't have nuclear weapons and therefore believe that any deal will be fairer
