Palace's most successful chairman was hounded out of palace by their fans because he spoke the truth and told them straight. They got what they deserved with Goldberg and now the mess that is Jordon. I see that Noades may again look to try and bail them out of their mess. How he will do it if selhrst is sold for development I dont know, but will the palace fans make their overdue apologies and start listening to him instead of abusing him this time?

I'm not clued up on Ron Noades to be honest so what exactly is their beef with him and what is it with the jokes about his mother?

Just a thought but if they bring back Noades can we do something retro like bring back Mullery as Director of Football (and winder-up-in-chief of the Scummers)?

for some reason they didnt like him rescuing them from massive debts, crowds of 3800 against Carlisle at home, appointing Coppell, putting money up for Wright and Bright, emulating the albion and getting to a cup final and finishing third in the league. They er thought that Goldberg was a much better bet - history has judged their judgment

But Goldberg meant well too (as does Jordan). Both Jordan and Goldberg look set to be financially ruined by Palace.

Seriously - what's the beef with Noades?

Noades had a touch of the ken bates about him - he told people straight how it was instead of promising the earth. As Bates did at Chelsea and is now doing at leeds however, he did a good job, and his record speaks for itself.

Bates told people straight? The bloke's a f***ing crook who took Chelsea to the verge of bankruptcy before the Russki took over.

Then he f***ed over Leeds. Doing a good job? Ask all the creditors like St Johns Ambulance about that. Ask the Leeds fans about that. Bates is quite clearly not fit nor proper to run a footie club IMHO.

Hmm....Perhaps Palace fans are right to distrust Noades if Bates is the benchmark.

Mate, I hea what you say about the buy out of Leeds and the creditors of Leeds being unhappy. But look at where leeds where when he bought chlsea, and leeds when he bought leeds. I bet he leaves leeds in the premier lague as he did with chelsea, after buying both in the lower leagues - that is doing a good job for himself, the club, the fans, but no not others.

Dont let any facts get in the way of your bullshit.Noades was in charge for the carlisle game .Our crowds had dropped because of that scum Mullery being appointed.Noades stripped the club bare, e.g. taking over ownership of the ground, but at the moment anyone would do.

Happy to be corrected on this but when Noades sold Palace did he not keep the ground? I think he ended up as popular with Brentford fans as he is with Palace fans.

I think Ron Noades should be given a Knighthood for that alone:thumbsup:

Once again, you've got no idea what you're talking about.
Stick to what you know best:talking about faulty train services, meaningless trophies and watching Sky Sports(instead of going to support your team)
That is all.

Yes he did keep selhurst until, so i have heard, jordon arranged to buy it through a third party company that is now in administration - hence palace might now lose selhurst to the highest bidder, for maybe housing or a retail park so o pay that company's creditors. I bet they wish that Noades still owned Selhurst now

Rock Investments I think.

But you had a 25 year lease on the ground I think. Surely that would still be honoured? Rent arrears may throw a spanner in the works though.

you? They !!

Yep bound to be a forfeiture clause for unpaid rent and maybe other ays the landlord could get possession as well. Either way that lease must have been 5/10 years ago now and the clock is running on the expiry of that lease

on a snowman plough
Noades shafted Tulip man and refused to sell the ground to tango man(he got hold of it through a third party company to fool Noades)
Tulip man bought a bunch of crap players the right to use the name and logo Of crippled pallets and the right to pay off a load of debt.
Noades kept the ground ,the furniture and fixings, the office equipment, the groundstaff equipment, the stock in the club shop AND the copyright to the club logo, meaning royalties on every item sold were still being paid to him even after tulip man went broke.
But his true saving grace is he hates palarse fans even more than we do.
He will never put a penny into that club again.

All dependent on the small print in the contract , many 25 year leases have a get out clause for both parties at intervals in the life of the lease such as 5 , 10 , 15 and 20 years. If the new owner wants vacant possession so they can redevelop the site any rent arrears could lead to eviction for breach of contract.
