I know the results aren’t the be all and end all at U-23 level but after a couple of big defeats this will be a good boost for them all

Agree completely - I really don’t understand why Albion don’t make more of these fixtures(and the U18s) as a lot of fans would be interested - I certainly am!
I’m definitely interested in watching these matches live. Really wished they streamed them all, as they are definitely all being filmed for analysis anyway.

Aston Villa have got the right idea:-

Did seem at the end of last season start of this one a lot more Albion youth matches were streamed than they are now. Suppose paying for a commentator might be a sticking point.

I simply don't understand the Albion's approach to FA Youth Cup and U-23 matches. They streamed the FA Youth Cup tie against Woking, but didn't make a single social media announcement that they were doing so (I only knew from the Woking FC twitter feed). Bexhill United had also tweeted that the Sussex Senior Cup tie would be streamed, but it wasn't in the end.
I do wonder if they want as little coverage of the academy youngsters as they can get away with, but who knows.
Why though? To avoid alerting other clubs??
If this is, indeed, their thinking, then yes I suppose there is an argument that the less info (including video footage) there is available, the better.
But given that the club DID stream the FA Youth Cup tie, why would they not inform their own fans? It baffles me.

One of the nice things about the U23 threads imo is that it only seems to be genuine fans who are bothered with it - no silly arguments between fellow supporters arguing the toss and few negative comments - even when we lose!
I don’t know how to contact the great PB but I do think they should upgrade the info about the academy teams and coverage of matches so I will email the club anyway. One of us could commentate for free!
