Not sure how much it will affect things but getting out of London was a nightmare tonight. 1629 Thameslink was full at Blackfriars, London Bridge was 5 deep on the platform in places. Lots of random cancellations on top of the trains already not running because of the strike. Felt sorry for anyone trying to get to Gatwick for a flight.

Live on Amazon Prime for anyone who can't face the lack of trains.
And those who just didn’t bother let us down tonight - I honestly just don’t get it. But regardless, those that were there well done. Oh it’s on tv I won’t bother sorting another way of getting there can do one tonight. There will be some on here I’m sure and yes they’ll prob get the hump but that’s how it felt. Up the Albion 👍

We won, almost everyone who went stayed till the end and I could still get a pint in 30 seconds at 7.10pm. There were upsides for me but, obviously, Tony, PBOBE and RDZ would like a full stadium.

I had to say something as it was my gut but appreciate the train pricks also literally hindered the team. No glory fan, just don’t get the mentality of some. Never happened at Withdean 🤷🏻‍♂️

I was on that. The Bedford train through London Bridge about 4pm was cancelled. To get the one after (4.30ish) I went from London Bridge to Farringdon & got on a packed train. That was a wise move for me ad By the London Bridge stop, about 1/3 of the people on the platform got on & the rest got left. I haven't been on a train that tightly packed since pre-covid times. I had a seat from East Croydon

Thought the club's bus arrangement for the 20000 or so who showed up was great, despite the poo pooers saying there aren't enough bus drivers. Well done Albion

Managed to get on that one at St Pancras. Would have had no chance if I’d done my normal thing of getting the tube to London Bridge and getting Thameslink from there.

Yes the bus operation was very good, pleased it went off without too much trouble, now just find where these dodgy Ensign Buses are hidden normally 😂

I made it tonight but it was a stack full of hassle i wont bore you with it but i dont judge any fan more or less whether armchair laptop radio following tweets whatever or in the stadium - you are all fans of the club. Its continually difficult for fans for a wide range of reasons making games particularly as getting to the ground for the vast majority its a train and the trains have been disruptive so often including tonight. Not sure what real attendance was but my guess is somewhere between 20k to 25k. Personally i have dont know a single fan in person that does not hate rail companies and all they stand for etc of course thats not the only hassle getting to games which is a real shame as it takes over the experience. I thought the game was a 2-1 thrashing we gifted them their 1st shot after about half hour think it was. But its not about not bothering its often about impossible and there are many reasons.

I got on a later train at at east croydon and was relieved to see 50% of the passengers disembark.
It was as rammed as I've ever seen, on a Thameslink train

I was definitely considering not going, I don't blame anyone who opted out today.
It was a total ballache.

EDF P&R is a godsend. Got there at 6.15, on a bus by 6.30 and it took around 45 minutes, mainly down to the weight of traffic on the A27 approach to Falmer, and the bottleneck going up to the Falmer sliproad (WHY are the P&R buses not allowed to take the left lane to the top and cut in at the roundabout ??). Anyhoo, took a little bit longer than I expected and cut it a little fine, but I was safely ensconced in the WSU in time for kickoff.

Coming back was a breeze. The EDF queue is noticably smaller than the others. Was back at my car not long after 10, and in front of MOTD with a cheeky dry red in no time.

If the EDF wasn't open tonight then I just wouldn't have bothered - when there's no trains its just too much ballache for a grumpy man in his fifties. But I'll be EDF-ing it again on Saturday (as I understand another SASTA SHITSTORM is brewing this weekend). Well done the club for sorting this, its the smoothest route to and from the Amex by far, in my experience.
