No Sky channels on Virgin (NTL) from end of month

...threaten to take them to the European Court under Televisions Sans Frontiers. You're entitled to a satellite dish to receive TV from your "home country" on property you own, and there is nothing the council can do about it without challenging European law that regulates, among other stuff, satellite and international broadcasting - heavy, serious stuff.

Anyway, is there anywhere in your garden that has about 20 foot clearance in front of it to the south-east? A dish can be ground mounted, and they're no more ugly than the garden gnomes I guarantee one of your neighbours has.

They need to get permission from the regulator in order to do this.

No gardens in West Hill worth talking about, sadly. As for pitting European legislation against the conservation area rules, well, I like Sky News a lot, but not so much I'd risk getting lawyers involved. Thanks for all your suggestions, though.
