Nope! We seem to be doing just fine without him.

We would miss him overall...... but we’re doing OK:thumbsup:

Not only outplaying them, but we’ve even...... scored a goal.

Only 45 minutes to hold out...... help.

We can't totally rule out that Pröpper is off tomorrow.

To be honest it would be best for all parties if Propper left. He’s a long way from our best CMs now especially with Moder coming assuming because we think he might get some time.

I don't see what benefit there would be to us, losing our most experienced CM in the midst of a relegation battle. In the summer, different story.

Its a bit weird.

Wouldnt be shocked to see go. Its not like he is useless, but doubt the club would say no to a decent bid as there is plenty of options.

As reported by Andy Naylor at the Athletic (and probably others), Potter had stated before the window that he wanted to trim the squad. Well, although Molumby (on loan), Bernardo (on loan) and Ryan (on loan) have all departed, they have been replaced by Moder, Tau, Karbownik (may not see much, if any, first team action this season) and possibly Caicedo. He therefore hasn't been very successful in trimming the squad!

I'm sure he would have been quite happy for Jahanbakhsh and Sanders to head out, but that isn't looking likely. Therefore I'm with you, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Propper was to depart (either on loan, or permanently). Not that I'm wishing him out - I'm sure he can contribute over the next few months if he does stay.

Yup. Probably the most likely one to leave in the next 24h, aside for some kiddos that might leave on loan.

I agree he could contribute, but having him around as a part-time player while his dream of playing a tournament with the Dutch teams dies a slow death on the Brighton bench... I think he would possibly feel very bad about it and players who wants to be somewhere else should be somewhere else.

If he ends up staying I could see another midfielder (Alzate, Moder or Caicedo) going out on loan because its looking very croweded. Bissouma, Gross, Alzate, Lallana, White, Pröpper, Caicedo and Moder is at least one too many.

The boy can’t make the squad and has been fringe all season. Surely it’s in his best interests to go somewhere where he actually plays?

If thats's his be all and end all, yes , I agree. However, I think he's more intelligent than that, you can see it in his style of play. I think he understands modern top tier football is a squad game, even little old teams like these have 25 players, 20 first team regulars, he had an injury and hasn't played much, but when he has he performed well. Leeds away being the prime example. He's a more than capable deputy for Bissouma, who has been superb this season but is still a suspension waiting to happen, nature of the position/job to an extent. More to the point, if/when Bissouma goes, we'll need him.

I guess it's all hinging on what Caicedo does, one or the other will go out and seeing as Davy was missing last night, maybe that means we haven't found somewhere suitable for Caicedo.

I'm not saying he's going to save our season or that he will solve our issues in front of goal. But I would bring Davy back into the side. He played pretty much every minute in our 3 survival seasons, is an experienced player and if you look at his stats, was a big cog in the engine room last season.
