Very good news, but to be honest no more than what I was hoping for and not as good as it sounds.

Cost per game 2014/15 = £23.91

If we stay down, then we have an inflation busting approximate 5% hike next year to something like £25.21 per game

If we go up, then cost per game 2015/16 = £30.53

Which is an eye-watering 28% increase on the price of my match ticket.

Not eye-watering by Prem standards. Not uncommon for clubs to DOUBLE ST prices upon attaining Prem footy. Was it Blackpool who TRIPLED their prices? Someone did.

I know this doesn't apply to everyone, but it would cost me £5 a match without the travel included, so next season either £20 for a championship game, or £25 for a Premier League game for me. Happy with that.

Given how much of a big deal has been made over the last few years about TV money and parachute payments dwarfing that made in ticket sales, I'm not sure the club could justify a big increase in ST prices should we get promoted.

In the event of promotion, it looks like the plan is to charge any NEW season ticket holders next season substantially MORE than existing season ticket holders will have to pay.

Will this (excellent) principle apply in 2017/18, when we become an established Premier League club?

Appears to be very good news.

But to pick up on something mentioned earlier on this thread I would like to see our club take a stance against clubs that shaft us when we play away with ridiculously high prices (eg QPR) and/or shocking facilities.

Should we reach the promised land and Arsenal want to stiff us for £60+ tickets, then that's the price the club should charge them when they come to the Amex. We shouldn't compromise on the away fans facilities but they should be paying the same to come to the Amex as we have to pay for the away trip.

It is galling to pay top dollar to go to an away game and have to endure rubbish facilities, but in the return the away fans get very reasonably priced tickets plus all the extras we lay on for them.

Yes, maybe we are punishing the fans for the shortcomings of their clubs, but it's then down to them to campaign for reasonable pricing structure and facilities for away fans within their own club.

I think it would have been nice if we already had something like this in place. We've heard of other clubs having lower fees for early renewals.
