Sorry, there was no excuse for the mass exodus yesterday. Massive shift put in by the players and a superb display yesterday the lads should have been applauded off by a near packed stadium. I felt sorry for them. Lovely day weatherwise, would an extra five minutes have made any difference?

Give it a f**king rest will you... you're boring, this never ending thread is boring. Get a life!

These same people would have missed the equaliser versus Leicester and the 6th goal (in their net) yesterday. I just don't get it. Game a footy last 90 mins. Why on earth would so many leave early before the show finishes (final whistle). Madness I tell ya!

The west stand was a disgrace yesterday regarding early leavers.

Why is it any of your concern? People pay their money for their ticket, they can do what they like with it.

Get off your ****ing high horse :tosser:

For the record, I have left one Albion game before full time; Swindon in the League Cup this season, as the players could not have been any less bothered with it at 3-0 down and I wasn't that bothered by it as it's only the LC.

Get over yourself already. Our players are applauded by more fans than any other team in the Championship.

What really annoys me, at times this season, is when the defence has left before the final whistle, hence so many late goals against us.
I still think we're brilliant though

Good post, certainly this.

I often wonder what is with the fascination to get home earlier, to do what? If you really do something important on a Sat evening then fine but I am sure many people get away early to go home and sit watching BGT and The voice. As Notters states- if you do not like queuing then chill out, have a drink and then stroll down to the train/bus.

To those saying 'it doesn't matter'? surely it does to the players who have just put on a performance like that, they deserve a round of applause. I cannot understand leaving early, missing a goal and not showing your appreciation so that you can get home 30 minutes earlier. If you have paid good money to watch a football match then watch it! But then I am equally baffled by those that miss goals for a pie/drink/toilet etc. Can an adult not sit and watch 45 minutes of football at a time?

Perhaps you should check with the players rather than just assume. I doubt, although I admit I don't know for sure, that the players probably do not give much attention to watching some fans leaving early. Perhaps the perennial moaners about early leavers should spend more of the last 5 minutes watching the game rather than counting those heading for the exits!!!!

Ok, so I have not checked with the players but I reckon if we asked them would they prefer a full ground at the end or one 2/3rds full I am fairly confident I know what the reply would be.

I does not really bother me that much if people want to leave on 43 mins for a beer or 88 mins to get home, I just personally think it is a bit silly to pay for a football ticket to then miss goals and key action.

Over there
I know everybody has there own reasons for leaving early, but I don't understand it. Cheer the lads off and then go to dicks, or as I did the brasserie bar. Have a few pints, watch the results come in, and then cheerfully watch the match all over again on the bar screens over a couple more pints, I had a great day yesterday

Why does anyone need an "excuse"??!

If you are really so vexed about his subject then start a campaign for the club to invest in improved transport links so people can get away quicker and thus dont feel the need to leave early. Whether you personally find leaving early necessary, desirable or whether it would make "a difference" is irrelevant. Many do and the ony reason they do is that they perceive that they they get home earlier as a result. Posts such as yours will not change that but if it REALLY REALLY matters then taking away the reason for leaving early might.

My bruv turned up at 3.30 yesterday and left at 4.30 cos he was working and planned his hour lunch break round the game.

Perhaps the OP would rather he hadn't turned up at all?

WOW! That's dedication. Don't think I'd've bothered going at all under those circumstances.
