No better time to play Millwall than this Friday night

Am I only the only one thinking that tonight's match gives us more chance of winning on Friday night.

Millwall players will be knackered after a cup match at their rivals which went into extra time. Perfect.

Also likely to be an over reaction on the police front so we will be even more safe than normal.

I agree we shall win by the solitary goal.

Only problem for me is that I'll have to remember to have something with my address on it.

Don't really want the Police at London Bridge trying to put me onto a train to Brighton again.

I think I may train it this time now. If you go by car you have to somehow come out into the Millwall fans in a way that looks like you are a Millwall fan who got lost in the wrong end. At least going by train you have lots of protection most of the way back, and are kept well clear of the home support.

cant quite understand why people seem to think going to the new den is any more unsafe than other grounds, its prob the safest place to go to! yes its pants waiting to get out after the game in the coops but other than that its a great place to go.

I think actually it is safer than most grounds. As I said above if you get the train you can pretty much avoid seeing Millwall fans all night. Even the away end of segregated completely.

The old den on the other hand was bloody frightening.

Spot on - I 'd rather go there knowing to look out rather than Cardiff or Swansea where you think its ok but its not.

To be honest, I've never experienced that.

I've learnt to leg it as soon as the final whistle goes.

Good point giraffe gives me more hopes for Friday now, today I was thinking of a 3 or 4 nil whitewash but after today I seems we have more of a chance.

I'm not so sure.. think there could be a bit of a backlash. They wont be happy after tonight. Wouldn't be suprised if our goal difference takes another battering to be honest.

I think this game has two possibilities. We sneak a 1-0 win, or get hammered about 4-0 as a backlash. After tonight i am feeling a lot more optimistic as there players are very tired after playing 120 mins against a premier league team, while we have had 3 days extra rest. I think this gives us quite a good chance of winning, unless they feel the need for a big backlash.

Last time, we used Canada Water station and walked through Southwark Park to and from the game.

Just as safe as the usual South Bermondsey station arrangement - and a lot more pleasant.

If we were the side we all hope we are, we wouldn't be worried about whether it was a good or bad time to play Millwall. We'd be confident of a good performance and on balance a good result. Sadly, the fact that it seems there is significant doubt about whether we will get anything from the game, tells it's own story

I thought we were going to win anyway, were usually ok at Millwall, its one of those places that the team seems to rise to the occasion, nice stadium, good away following and good atmosphere. The old Den on the other hand.....

I've found that logic works if we are the team that had a really long match mid week, but if we're facing the team that had a really long match that logic goes out the window.
