Nintendo Wii - Advice please

I'm off to New York over the Xmas period. Is it possible to buy an American version of the Nintendo Wii - If so will I need any cables/adaptors and will all the British games work ok on the system ?

Thanks for your help NSC. Also those who have already got the system, how are you finding it ?

Ive got the American version

no special cables needed but dont think the English games will work on it.

Your'll need a NTSC compatible TV Wilko else it won't work at all, most modern TV will work but the NTSC resolution 480 compared to the PAL (UK) res of 576 means even if it does work it will look crap compared to a UK Wii. Your best off being patient to avoid massive disappointment !!!
