From next month I'm going to be without a cooker.
Moving - current cooker old and not worth taking - kitchen needs overhaul.


Having been suckered in by the adverts naturally I turn to NSC for real world experience.
I'm hoping I can just get away with something like a Ninja, microwave and kettle, for an open ended period of time.

Are they a decent day to day cooker replacement?

Yes, I agree, but it’s not exactly as mundane as a vacuum cleaner or a set of dusters. It was such a novelty - I mean it looks like R2D2 - that Mrs.P loves it, as she also loves cooking. So all boxes ticked.

By the way my balls are still intact - for the time being!

Get one. Truly a brilliant device, we got one about a year back and it is superb. We got the one with the top lid that air fries, grills, stews and has a pressure cooker fitting. Brilliant for air fry chips (crispy and brown as they should be) and stews/soups as well as grilling steaks . Also saves having a 7Kw electric oven burning £1.40 an hour when you can use a Ninja for half the power and 1/4 the time.
Get one.

It’s not compatible with Lads Night Out 1.0, and too risky running Mistress 360 alongside it. Wife 2.0 is too unstable, and the bundle comes with Credit Card Pro, which I don’t want

I've got one and they're excellent, it's an all in one, air fry, roast, steam, hob, slow cook, etc.

Anyone use theirs as a slow cooker? I've lost the instruction manual and tried searching online but can't find any instructions on it. I tried in the past but couldn't work out how to either change the timings or heat

Had an air fryer for a few years. Recently upgraded to the ninja dual zone. Been really good. They are surprisingly diverse. Though, apparently not so good for popcorn...

I'd also recommend a portable induction hot plate. I brought one when we did our kitchen, brilliant and so good I brought another. You'll probably find a good used double for sale on ebay (£80.) But also worth buying new and selling on or keeping as an extra boost for Xmas day or even outside cooking in summer (next to a BBQ).
