Nike 2016/17 stripe fabric template -

How can a company the size of Nike who supposedly make 'bespoke' kits (which they don't) not be able to make a striped kit without a sticky iron on patch. Ditch them for adidas I say.

I so wanted Adidas to be our kit manufacturer. I think they've done some amazing retro styled efforts (notably for West Ham last season, and Man U this season, although I think this effort is ruined by the sponsor which is in no way the fault of Adidas)

Can you imagine the sales of Albion kits modeled loosely on our glory days of the early 80's? We can but dream....

I won't be buying any home kit unless they sort the panel out. I flat out refuse to pay £50 for a shirt with an iron-on panel thing.

£10? Sure.

They won't sort it. Nike do not make a kit without iron on transfers, pretty pathetic really isn't it for such a huge company.

I just saw this Nike striped fabric format for their 2016/7 products. Personally I hope we still have excess stock of the current shirt and stick with it for another season rather than this, I think it is just horrible.

For context, I love that and think it looks rather smashing. If that is how our next kit will look, if they get the iron on logo right, I might buy it. I can't buy the current home shirt because the iron transfer is a disgraceful looking piece of tat but this template is fine by me.

But they do. SuperPhil has posted images of the Sydney shirt without an iron panel, Porto and Atletico are also examples of other Nike kits without shyte panels.

Hmm... Doesn't bode well does it :nono:

The only way a striped Nike kit is going to look half decent for us is if the Amex lettering is in a completely contrasting colour to negate the need for the large white border - which would mean just the individual letters are printed on (I suppose black text would be pretty much the only option).

The lettering could be Bright Red, Yellow or even Orange? All are contrasting colours to the blue and white.

Really? Was not aware of that, then there should be no reason why we cannot get the same then.

I think it must be a Nike Europe thing, they seem to be able to do sponsor patches in the print pattern in Australia and I think last year Orlando Pirates or some club in South Africa did too. The reason will be one of either cost, or that Nike Europe simply refuse to offer the service here, but as the deal is with them, the club has no choice. I wonder what the sales figures are like, I still feel that I see a lot (more) Errea shirts at the Amex than Nike.

I've never bought one as I think it looks shite, but I've seen a few shirts where the panel is coming away badly. Has anyone tried to get a refund or replacement?

I know it's been done to death, but, THIS. I think the current home shirt is really nice, but that sponsor panel is so shyte it's unbelievable.

Your not wrong. The sponsor panel on my replica shirt started to peel off within weeks of buying it last year. You could purchase better quality at the local market.

Shame we couldn't get a better deal to stay with Errea, whose kits are superb in my opinion.

It's the same situation as we had with the numbering on the back of shirts for years. No colour, be it red, black, yellow, or sky blue pink can be read from any great distance on the back of a blue and white striped shirt. The only sure way of getting round it, is to put a coloured panel on the back of the shirt.

In terms of any sponsor's name though, you can be 100% sure that they will want their name to be seen properly!, hence the one colour panel.

Yes, errea never use large sponsor panels...

I would assume that is at the insistence of Aviva more than anything else. However, it doesn't look ironed on

I might also add that I must have been very lucky with the shirts I have bought, I haven't had a panel peel off any of them. I don't wear them loads, just if having a relaxing day around the house, or playing/going to football.
