Nigel Farage joins GB News

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
To give you credit, you don’t give up and are consistent. But we’re a million miles apart.

As for Lineker, Hamilton and numerous other people from the world of sport and elsewhere who criticise the Government, that is something that happens with every Government and usually they deal with it. Any historian, particularly of Europe in the 20th Century, will tell you that among the marks of a fascist regime are silencing the critical press (defund the BBC?), rubbishing experts (Michael Gove before the referendum and all of them since) and trying to shut up all opposition.

That is all why millions of people will absolutely never, never get behind the current Prime Minister and his Government, not unless he does the right thing and does something credible for a change.

May I suggest that you don’t take Old Mouldy’s posts too seriously?

But what about all the clarion calls for workers to seize the means of production that are rammed down out throats by Dan Walker every morning on BBC Breakfast? Alex Jones' doe-eyed soliloquies on dialectical materialism on the One Show? Andrew Marr's incessant puff pieces on the virtues of anarcho-syndicalism? The hagiographic tributes to Mao on Saturday Kitchen?

Embarrassingly left.

The same Dan Walker who was called 'Tory Boy' by some on the left and 'Champagne Socialist' by some on the right? ??? I'd argue the issue here is how individuals perceive and infer rather than any stone cold factual evidence it is indeed a left or right organisation. Thus the 'somewhere in the middle' conclusion I made previously.

Do we really need Dion Dublin waxing lyrical about Gramsci on Homes Under the Hammer though?

Message received and understood, but I quite enjoy it. I read a Q and A thing with Jess Phillips over the weekend where she actually said she enjoys getting angry, and I actually know what she means.

I decided to look up the headline you refer to and the wording is as follows;

"Covid-19: PM and chancellor self-isolate after rapid U-turn"

It is a U-turn, it was rapid and they are self-isolating. How much forelock-tugging would you deem acceptable?
Just a quickie as I know that is your preference.
The BBC did say "screeching U-turn on the news."
Maybe it was one bulletin, it may have been Romilly Weeks, can't remember for sure.
Maybe I should be sad enough to log some of these phrases, but there would be little point as the Beeb fans would still think I was making it up.
They often lead with heavy bias to exaggerate against the Tories.

Nearly every news story on the BBC appears to be anti government but would like to think it would be the same for whoever is in charge

How incompetent does a government have to be before a broadcaster can stop fawning over them?

Our Nigel knocked it out the park with his first show, very good viewing.
Glad to see the most influential politician for a generation given his own prime time slot.

Something certainly seems to have been knocked out............

However is in power complain about a biased BBC so I’m not sure what your point is.

Maybe it’s just me but surely you should be more concerned that the Government keep ****ing up rather than that people are reporting that ****ing up?

Our Nigel nailed it once again on last nights show.
Highlighted the failings of the Home Secretary without mentioning her ethnicity or gender in his critic, some of the race baiting thugs on this board should take a leaf out of his book? Down right shameful from some..Some who should know better.....

Farage clearly keeps dodgy political company and says and does some extremely questionable things.

He may or he may not be racist - who knows for sure?

But what is certain is that he attracts racist sympathisers and generates fascist support....
