Reform made a formal complaint to Ofcom - which was thrown out.

They appear to have 'sent a letter' to the Electoral Commission. However, I cannot find any indication that the Electoral Commission have any jurisdiction to deal with this as a 'complaint', or with TV companies (not being a political party). So here is where I disagree with you, and agree with @Motogull

I don't see any evidence of the sincere promotion of a personal creed here.

All statements are not equal. All 'viewpoints' are not equal. All NSC posts are not made with the same level of sincerity.

When people post lies and create perverse narratives their posts deserve to be mocked, and defenestrated. When they do the same thing time and time again......and when they hide behind a VPN, and wave a 'disability', daring the rest of us to disregard it, they are taking the piss.

I very clearly said my reference to ‘attacking people for their political views’ was a ‘general comment’ (ie about political dialogue in general in society - I reiterated that in my follow up) - It wasn’t related to the thread or even NSC particularly. It is perfectly justifiable to attack people’s POV if they are based on mistruths but not the person themselves in most cases because it only drives them into further entrenchment..

You also failed to see my first post where I called out trolling on both sides. That includes Ronnie.

It’s not ‘clever’ to keep making the same points about Ronnie imo. It’s all been said before including by me.

Either keep him on ignore and don’t engage or respond with factual messaging and rational arguments because this constant trolling on both sides and Ronnie (and others) getting upset makes for really unpleasant reading and derails every thread he posts on..

If the mods want to ban him for trolling/duplicate accounts, they will. If they want to ban him for spreading hate and lies they will - until then It is not up to the most vocal members (including me btw) of NSC to bully someone else off the boards because we think they are trolls and talking bollix..

I would love to not see his presence but half the posts on some threads are replies to his posts, which I can see. So, f*** it, I may chuck another brick if I feel like it. Why not?

100% this and the same principle applies to the absolute right to protest too, which is not under threat as some would like to claim.

I am grateful for your clarification and apparent acceptance that Farage will not now be embarking upon legal proceedings in his personal capacity. I note your confidence that the limited company he has a majority shareholding in will definitely sue channel 4 when the electoral commission resolves the complaint. I consider your confidence misconceived, not least given @Bodian's post repeated below. There will be no legal proceedings will there?

As I am in a good mood, I will give you a new fantasy, but please keep it to yourself. As and when the electoral commission reject Farage's limited company's complaint, his limited company can sue them and/or he could declare they are not fit for purpose and announce a new policy to disband it when he becomes PM.

Personally I wouldn't be happy to pay Farage a penny. But if the BBC considered he was worth it, and the populace watched him to the degree where they felt they were getting their money's worth - then I wouldn't be objecting, no. The BBC are a business, just uniquely funded.
