I Read earlier it will cost him 10K+ out of his own money.

One of the worst strikers in the Premier League, but he'll pull that out of his pocket in loose change, that's the true annoyance of this story.

What's he playing at anyway, changing to 52. Anton Ferdinand was refused permission to wear 55 last season, so why is Bendtner allowed when Ferdinand wasn't? Seems a bit wrong. And pointless.

What? He is. He's right up there with Jason Roberts, Andrew Johnson and Kevin Davies as far as I am concerned. How he can play for a club like Arsenal and not score 20 goals a season is a real achievement.

For a start he wasn't first choice striker, second choice or even third choice last year so to score 20 goals would be difficult. Most of his appearances come as a sub.

Secondly the three players you named are good premiership strikers!

There's a very good reason he wasn't the first choice striker, and it's the same reason he never will be. Not with a good club, at the very least.

The three players I named are all absolutely useless and frankly, the fact they're playing in the Premier League is amazing and I would assume they all agree. I would like to swap Andrew Johnson (Decent striker, shit history) with Marcus Bent. A truly rubbish set of strikers.

Wow, are you people being serious? You consider these good strikers?!

Well, fair enough I suppose. Personally, my opinion of what makes a good footballer seems rather different.

Skill, techinque, ability... all 3 things missing from all 3 players. Jason Roberts and Kevin Davies are big brutal strikers who hold the ball up well and bully the hell out of defenders, so they have a purpose. Marcus Bent doesn't even have that. It amazes me that all 3 have had such careers in the top flight, fair play to them. Obviously, jealousy does play a part... but honestly, I can't think of worse Premier League strikers than them. Just awful. Bendtner to me is just hopeless, same with Emmanuel Eboue. And if Arsenal want to win the league again, then both those players need replacing.

like having f***ed knees, for instance.

I think it's safe to say Adam Hinshelwood is a completely different issue actually.

Ability? Eh? You have just claimed that Davies and Roberts hold up the ball well and bully the hell out of defenders. That is their job and ability wise they are decent at it.

Skill is not the be all and end all. Does Heskey possess 'skill'? Plenty of players have skill, but nothing more.

What do you think technique involves and do not refer to the Championship Manager manual?

Ps I meant Andy Johnson, not Bent. I seem to remember that you were praising Zamora, but seem willing to write off Johnson? Strange.
