I have just returned from Torquay V Carlisle with oapdodge (Martin), his daugter and her friend. After a pleasant journey to the English Riviera we made our way to the Torquay Utd. FC Social Club. Whilst we stod at the bar setting the world to rights Martin's daugher and her mate went round the rooms hustling people, handing out leaflets and getting letters signed. Eventually I joined in but Martin had to stay at the bar to wait for Nigel (a Bristol based Albion fan who gets to most home games, now that's what I call a REAL fan).

Suffice to say we got total cooperation from both sets of fans who mingled freely with each other. We sympathised with the Carlisle fans as they, like us, are in a mess thanks to a (now gone) toss/despot chairman. Torquay are clearly on the up and up but how long that remains depends on whether Leroy stays or ends up at Home Park. Both sets of fans very freindly and in fact quite a few knew about what was going on. Most of our letters were signed.

We stayed for the match which ended 4-1 to Torquay. It was very entertaining with some cracking gaols from the home side. They're in the play offs and I wouldn't bet against them playing us next season.

All in all a very fun day.

ive had the best day out, we had a great response from the oxford fans until we got our shirts and banners taken off us as they could be used as weapons (not our shirts obviously!) and some of their scary fans started telling us to f-off which made us leg it just before the end of the game! went for a little look at the executive boxes and went in the hospitality bit to look for steel and crosby but ended up bumping into them on our way to the car. they were really nice and posed for a pic which came out really well! crosby left clutching a leaflet  well done to everyone out today!!

Nice to meet all of you at Torquay, I was a bit apprehensive beforehand, but when I got there I had a really good time, the Carlisle fans in particular were great, I expect our petition will get quite a few hits soon. Just to clear up one thing I live in Plymouth not Bristol.

Thanks for joining us Nigel it was great to get so much support. We did get a great reception and as we all agree the Carlisle fans were superb.I would imagine everyone was apprehensive going to matches with Brighton shirts, hats etc giving out leaflets and letters wondering what reponse we would get.I was always wondering if the fact Leroy was on our short list that they may well not like us,but it was good.Looking at all the other threads no one seems to have had to much stick.
We also met some other Albion fans who travelled down to Torquay for the match, possibly not NSC users, they also had a bag full of letters and had given out numerous leaflets.
It was good walking to the turnstiles and be greeted with a shout of SEAGULLS from a young girl BHA fan.

I had a lovely time.

Scenic Croydon, the state of the art stadium that is Selhurst Park, 17,000 warm, friendly Palace fans, beautiful weather, world class football, and a see-saw 2-2 draw. What more could you
want?*

The disappointing thing is that John Madejski walked right past us in the car park, and I totally missed the opportunity to offer a friendly greeting on behalf of NSC...

*only one of these statements is true.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
I had a GREAT day, just what I needed after being told on Wednesday that I was being relocated to Dublin !

A good bit of leafleting at Crawley, after a splendid lunch and a few drinkies at The Gatwick Manor, then after that on to the Bears game for a bit more Falmer stuff until it descended into carnage.

I think I will always remember NFD for really getting me into Basketball !

Great day out in London with Redland and friends, good drinking in a few bars, lots of weird dressed up people in Covent Garden. a pub called The Sussex which let the name of Sussex down bigtime, nearly had a go at the manager!

One mate disappeared off home ill so we went to the gig, Frenzal Rhomb we're bloody good if only on for 20-25mins, good moshing scenes. Dropkick Murphys we're alright, played a couple of decent tunes but they are abit too Irsh and slow for my liking.

Whilst handing out leaflets I chatted up a bird claiming to be a pro footballer for BHAFC and getting £3000 a week, she believed me and even tol Frenzal's guitarist (they are australian) about me and I got his autograph on my train card, then I harrased him about the plight of the Albion :lolol:

Final drink in the pub before we set off hom, bastard trains at Brighton stopped just when I got there so I had to fork out £12 for a taxi home but at least I was snuggled up in bed at midnight after a good 9 hours on the beer with decent punk rock music to boot!

:drink: punk: :drink: punk:
