Well, the club were happy to insert a clause in previous years that IF went up to the Premier League the stated price to be paid would not apply and there would be more to pay later.

So obviously the same sort of clause should be in there guaranteeing a partial refund if we got relegated to League One. Pretty easy.

I can't see the club inserting any kind of clause that admits to a possibility of relegation. Not the kind of negative marketing spin they'd go for IMHO. I think they'd either announce a freeze on prices, or wait until the end of the season before making any pricing announcement.

As i said i think prices will stick. We still have FFP to adhere to. We will automatically lose about 6 million in tv revenue if we are relegated.

Purely guesswork though about prices just a hunch.

If the club used that logic season ticket prices would go down if we got to the Premier as TV revenue is so much greater!

I can accept a relegation season, but I can't accept that when faced with an obvious solution - ie Sami Out - that the board just fiddles whilst the Amex dream burns around them.

I'm in the most expensive ST seat & happy to pay more next year, in any div, as I'll have more money and Barber should take advantage of our drop in food & fuel costs

I agree there should be a reduction in price if we got relegated. I doubt it will happen though and Barber will just chuck in JPT tickets for free & try and spin it as a bargain.

Does not matter what division we are in as we have the same overhead's to meet at the stadium.

You don't think Burke inserted relegation clauses in any of the player contracts.

It's £465 full price in the north stand. Many season ticket holders are concessions ie. kids & pensioners, so I wouldn't say MOST are paying £600+.

Barber sets the prices, the board rubber stamp them (he has said so himself) Obviously the board can knock him back but in my mind pricing strategy is mainly down to him. He's the CEO afterall.

Bloody tricky is'nt it? Part of me says sod it ,I'll just choose to go and see some of the better league one games but in all honesty that would probably mean I wouldn't bother to go at all as I can't imagine any of those would really stoke me up.IF we go down and I don't think we will, then a reduction would have to be made for STH's. I would reckon something in the order of 10-15% is reasonable but I doubt the hierarchy will feel similarly. Bottom line:- I will renew but possibly take the opportunity to move to a better/more central seat. I just don't want to not watch the Albion.

Sure, but it depends on if the club are willing to gamble on number of STHs. A price reduction will likely see more stay, how many more is the question.

I'm truly conflicted about whether to renew or not next season regardless of what league we're in.

On one hand I want nothing more than to have a drink with my dad and watch the stripes but on the other, aside from the DD each month, I end up spending £100+ per home game on food and drink etc. Also I tend to turn into a shouty **** when I've had a few which doesn't please my other half at all. That's before getting into the various negative feelings I have about how the club is being run etc etc.

So choices, for me, are:

Not renew and pick and choose games to attend. Saves the monthly cost and reduces spend generally.
Quit drinking and renew. Same (most likely) monthly cost but reduced spend. Also possibly reduced enjoyment.
Not renew and quit drinking. Dull as dishwater. Not really a choice!

Im paying £465 now for WSU west wing so if we're in lge1 I wouldn't expect to pay more than £400 but in reality I reckon it will be 450, if we stay up then I reckon it will be 475

One of the things to keep me motivated in making the trips the the amex is that I have a season ticket and am loathed to lose money. If I don't renew then I doubt if I will go to many games. The problem is that you have to commit well before the season end to renew your existing tickets, so you are committing to an unknown product at an unknown price. Must be one of the world's big anomolies!
