Roy Hodgson surely. Steady, safety-first, international experience.

Telling that the the three most popular options, Fox, Starmer and Sunak all come from such different ends of the political spectrum, the nation has never been more divided.

Bookies favourite means nothing at this stage, as l recall Sajid Javed went into the last leadership contest as favourite, but finished . . . fourth.

Keir Starmer but thats not happening without a General Election so it's a case of finding a Tory with a degree of integrity that you could respect...not many to pick from but Tobius Elwood or Tom Tugelhat come across as honorable and perhaps might move away from the extreme right. Any leader that bins the like of Mogg, Dorries and Patel would be a good start

I am a member of the Conservative Party (don’t castigate me!) - so my vote really does count

At this moment I haven’t a clue who to vote for

No doubt I will be wooed in due course …

What qualities will you look for when determining which candidate to vote for?

Interested to know what parts of the Conservative party over the past decade reflect the values you want to see? I can understand conservatism and small government, but this lot of crooks are not into that, they are CLEARLY into corruption, deceit, chicanery, flim flam, lies, etc.

Are there any prerequisite qualifications for being Prime Minister.

A US President must:

have been born in the US or one of your parents must have been a US citizen.
still be a US citizen and have lived in America for at least fourteen years.
be at least 35 years old.

By that standard, all Boris needs to do is move to the US for 14 years and then he can run in 2036. He was born in New York.

Apologies - the IRS caught up with him so he ditched his US citizenship;
