Really? Don't remember who spent too much and caused the nation to be broke?

People should work harder and not expect handouts. Another product of communism.

Oh dear, the government at the time did not cause the financial crisis that affected the global economy, but other governments spent their way out of the ensuing crisis, we just gave more money to the banks but cut public services and froze public service workers wages and told us all to work harder. Besides, the " Nation " wasn't broke then but it certainly is broken now

We are all working harder and there are few " handouts" these days but not many of us are better off than we were ten years ago. Roads are potholes held together by patches, weeds grow in the streets, rubbish collections are shortly to go fortnightly here, there is increasing homelessness and in work poverty and schools are cutting back on staff and have to crowdfund or contact Children In Need to fund essential support staff and basic school equipment. If you think that this was caused by a Labour government over ten years ago in the 5 th biggest economy in the world, you are a prize chump.

Sounds great to me!

It really doesn't to me. Being a member of the Tory Party is like someone going on the pull in a nightclub wearing a lime blue polo neck sweater, baggy chinos and a pair of white Hi-Tec trainers on and having Peter Beardsley as their Wingman.

Each to their own though.

Who'd really want to join a club that was 97% white British, 70% male, 40% aged 65 or higher, 86% ABC1 (middle class, white collar) full of Brexit voting Old Etonions, Old Harrovians and Old Carthusians though? It'd just be embarrassing for most normal people who wouldn't want the stigma.

They do have the best coke in Europe, though.

You people who think the world owes everyone something, and don't want to pay your way in life make me sick. Yes, after the Labour government spewed out money they didn't have, whilst developing a sickening work ethic, really did create unrealistic expectations, didn't it!

Boris promising rich people more tax relief is a handout. Nurses and teachers at food banks is not a handout, it's a national disgrace.

You morons that rewrite history make me sick. You pick out some exceptions to the rule and then tar everyone else with the same brush. Maybe there are some benefit scroungers but not everyone, far from it, are doing it because it the easy way out. We could turn it on it's head and suggest that all entrepreneurs are scum like Philip Green who abused his status with employees and then shut then up with NDAs.

It's comical to suggest that a global crisis was the fault of Labour just as it would have been foolish to suggest that it wouldn't have happened if the Tories had been in power at the time.

There again, you're probably just a trolling as what you post is garbage, a sure sign.

Imagine if labour had massively overspent and then had to bail out the banks, then we would have been totally up shit creek.
People who deny the banking crisis never happened and use it as a political weapon are nothing short of a joke.
What is sick is to realise that you have the opportunity to cut, cut and cut again against the kids, the sick and disabled, schools, police and NHS and choose austerity, fail and then still blame it on labour 10 years later.

It’s shame Ester McVey has been voted out early doors, she’d definitely be into a bit of nose tapping.

It's actually one of politics' great misunderstandings. There's plenty of evidence out there that proves that it is in fact the Tories who historically borrow and spend more relative to what wealth they create.

Oh Blimey; some things never change on dear old NSC.
Each side slagging off the other lot and getting nasty with it.
It really all boils down to the fact that the Tories have been pretty dreadful for some time now, but the alternative of Corbyn as PM of this country is an absolute no-no to most people who have got a brain, whether they be from the reasonable left or right.
Sadly, we have got neither a decent Government nor Opposition.
What a fu----g shambles!

Well we always look to America for the latest trends, this time it's nutcase leaders.

Still probably a better bet than Corbyn though.
