I think the initial boos were directed at Boehly because they were grieving for Tickle. Now they are aimed at GP. Boehly might want to give GP time but the fans might life uneasy for him. Ha ha.
I think the only way of saving face for Boehly is for England to have a poor World cup, Southgate resigns and the FA go for Potter, CFC wont stand in their way.

Boehly might well be starting to feel the first twinges of pressure on himself. He may be the public face of the consortium, but he has to retain the confidence of the consortium as a whole. If he feels under pressure to improve things, Potter is TOAST

From Google and elsewhere:

'Chelsea's ownership consortium is led by LA Dodgers part owner Boehly. Although he is the face of the group, it is backed by investment firm Clearlake Capital, and other deep-pocketed partners, including Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss, and Boehly's Dodgers partner Mark Walter.'

I would imagine at this point the jury is out on Potter as a manager for England. If this is how he works with the sort of top level stars, high pressure environment, would the FA want to risk it?

Potter would be getting his marching orders if it was left to the very vocal Chelsea fans, most appear to have gone into full meltdown
Potter won't be getting sacked anytime soon. They paid a world record in compensation for a manager, they said its a long term project, and he's on £60 million over 5 years. There's no way Chelsea would want to pay the compensation on that.
Chelsea fans maybe grumbling but they'll have to make their peace with it.

These amounts are almost always wrong, most contracts have clauses/break clauses in them

He might not get the 60 million but he would get a big chunk. That's why managers who get the push always get compensation if they get the boot, unless its for gross misconduct.

I don't think Potter is under threat at all, but his odds of being the next Premier League manager to leave their job have tumbled. At SkyBet...

29/10 - 66/1
6/11 - 33/1
7/11 - 16/1
10/11 - 14/1
12/11 - 8/1
