Of nasty self-serving filth.

“....it was reported in The Times that Theresa May's resignation honours list was held up by a row over her decision to give Mann a life peerage and that the independent watchdog on Lords appointments warned it would set a dangerous precedent and could be seen as a bribe for his support of her Brexit withdrawal bill...”.

Thank god these two idiots are out of the Houses of Parliament.

And how would it be a bribe for his support unless the peerage was agreed long before quit the commons and before he voted for the withdrawal bill. You would then wonder how many other life peerages would have to be given to any labour MP that voted for it!!

And surely Mann isn't out of the Houses of Parliament as he sits in the Lords!!!

Here’s an idea

The bits in red are where hardworking people voted for a Labour candidate, the other colours represent where other hardworking people voted for someone else representing other political parties, I do hope that’s helps?

Not really a good depiction as most of the blue areas are of low density populations so gives a distorted view.

This is based on 2017 and gives a better view.

Ken Clarke wonderfully dismantled Johnson, his polices and this particular Tory government on 5Live with Pienaar this morning and showed them up for the second hand scam dealers they are. Sadly, there are no more honourable one nation Tories like him left in the government to hold them to account.

Clarke also said that Johnson did a great job as London Mayor, before his leaning to the Brexit part of the party he’d been a centrist, and Clarke was optimistic/hopeful that Johnson with a large majority will fulfil his promises of one nation policies.

It was not an assasination.

I love this

Labour figures launch post-election autopsy to find out what went wrong http://news.sky.com/story/labour-fi...-autopsy-to-find-out-what-went-wrong-11893531

So the man that lost them the 2015 election will be lead the enquiry into why they lost the 2019 election, he will be assisted by the person who ran the 2015 campaign, a trade unionist and finally another MP who lost her seat.

Brilliant.

I give you the Labour Party, the gift that continually keeps on giving.

Interesting article and for me it sums up where so many middle class Corbyn disciples get it completely wrong.

Most people don't want to be victims, and don't see themselves as victims. Even the homeless man doesn't see himself as a victim of the evil Tories. He doesn't want to be saved by anyone, he needs to be empowered to help himself.

It's a well meaning but dreadful attitude, this thread and this board is littered with it. It's basically the class version of the white saviour.

It also goes a long way to show how and why the Labour Party has lost touch with its working class roots in many areas.
I agree entirely with your comment re this board.

On the face of it, it seems an extraordinary decision.
They don't seem to learn and what with Long -Bailey being touted as leader by the deluded, what hope is there for the Labour Party?

Its not really - they took a small number (4) of London based (likely) middle-class people and tried to extrapolate it the general mood among LP members from these comments - from what I am hearing the predominant mood is one of determination to stick with left policies and to fight Blairism

Evidence? - its one quote - the guy might be a racist

No - the bits in red are where Labour candidate won the election - hardworking people voted for Labour in every single constituency in the country - I do hope that helps?

You should be praising this development rather than trying to take the p*ss - a commission dominated by Blairites will blame Corbyn and the left manifesto that the LP put forward - it will ignore the shift from leave to remain from 2017 to 2019 - and it will ignore the constant sabotage by the Blairites since Corbyn became leader of the LP.

Bad penny Chicken - bad penny.

If nothing else I would take pleasure in annoying a die in the wool Tory like yourself.

You’re a bit of a sad prick then joining a football forum and spending your time thinking you’re annoying people, I’d suggest it’s you who’s annoyed hence the time you spend here with at least two aliases.

Anybody marginally to the right of Che Guavara is a Tory to you....

Nah - anyone who supports the racist, xenophobic, anti-Semitic, homophobic antics of one Boris Johnson and his entourage is clearly a Tory.

And Che was a bit of a homophobe as well (and apparently I met him once - don't remember it as I was about 3 months old).

Jolly read Giant insisting he's not left wing, and everyone else laughing at him.

Meanwhile Corbyn is still labour leader.

And in other news, Bury FC announce their five year plan to win the EPL.

Wilson won in 1974 - and while Wilson wasn't a left-winger by any degree, the LP had a left manifesto that Wilson and then O'Callaghan abandoned in response to the economic depression of the 1970s - since then every single LP leader has been driving the LP to the right - to the point where you have the likes of Rachel Reeves saying 'We will be tougher than the Tories on benefits' - why vote for the monkey when the organ grinder will not try and fool you into believing that they are doing this in your interests. Blair got elected purely because the Tories got so mired in corruption that nobody could vote for them - to the point where the Tories lost 171 seats and had 30% of the vote. Yet while the Blairites back in the 1980s were losing votes to the Tories, left-wing candidates were repeatedly bucking the trend - what did the Blairites do - they expelled the biggest vote winners and neutered the rest by removing democracy from the LP.

A few weeks ago Corbyn got 32.4% of the vote - that is more than Milliband in 2015 - more than Brown in 2010 - more than Kinnock in 1987 - way more than Foot in 1983 - and not far off what Kinnock got in 1992 (after 12 years of Thatcherism and in the aftermath of the Poll Tax rebellion). Corbyn's 40% in 2017 was higher than any other LP leader since 1970 (and Wilson still lost) - with the exception of 1997 - and it was the same vote that Blair got in 2001. Yet Corbyn was the problem -
