Shit. Is there any wonder we need to appoint a foreigner. I wouldn't want any of them in charge of England.

That list is f***ing mint. You can see it now at Lancaster Gate.

"So McLaren was a partial success wasn't he?"
"Never mind, it was worth a punt - he was so cheap. And he did mastermind a 4-3 victory over a Swiss team once in the European Plate compy"
"Yeah so let's have a look at the candidates list then:"
"Mourinho?"
"No, he's just taken a job with Parma or someone"
"Scolari?"
"Sadly not - back to Brazil to lead a Sao Paulo giant. Apparently thought we were amateur twats after last time. Don't know why."
"Hiddink?"
"Nah. Still in contract I'm afraid."

"I KNOW. LET'S GET STUART PEARCE!!!"

Simster, I expect that is scarily close to the truth.
Barwick once led the BBC bid for coverage of rugby union. On the front of the leave behind document was a picture of then England captain Will Carling. "Who's this?" asks Barwick about an hour before they were due to get a cab to Twickenham...http://85.234.132.19/images/smilies/dunce.gif
His nickname was B.O. Barwick due to his rather poor levels of personal hygiene.

McLaren should get the chance to qualify for South Africa, if he gets forced out by morons then I'd go for Steve Bruce.

WHAT?!?! He's FAILED his main objective, and you think he still needs a chance?

I'm sorry, but YOU are quite blatently the moron here (unless you are being sarcastic, and i take it all back!!)

I'd pick Coppell over anyone on that list.

Mourinho is too special, some of the lower-list are just ridiculous, Wenger is too 'insular' to be able to handle any questions from the English public, and a couple of those don't even speak adequate English (and although they might manage Saudi or Korea or whatever - England needs a coherent English speaker!).

Shearer  !
