I would think that a practice match would be a very good idea. Even if it was mainly second team players from Chelsea. Four weeks without a game is far too long.

I also think that Naylor is occasionally used to throw others off the scent, especially with an appointment this important and with other clubs potentially looking around for managerial replacements.
Also, I expect there is a huge onus on us for confidentiality, especially as the process is one where we will interview and then decline candidates who are in a job. No one would want this getting out into the open.
Imagine if our future manager went for a job interview and was rejected. If Haise is being interviewed he will want absolute confidentiality in case he doesn’t get the job.

And so would Brighton...in case he turns us down

You sure about this, friendly v Chelsea ??
After everything, we are letting that sneak back in to keep up their fitness etc...
Really, that does not sit well...

I really can't get my head round it, BUT if it's true, then the clubs are clearly very pally, there is no animosity or disappointment at the top about Ben and Bruno going, it's all just an accepted part of the game of football business, we get Lamptey, Gilmour, Colville, they get Cucu, the coaching team, and a viewing of the squad, it's all just jolly japes at the high table....only the fans are stupid enough to get upset about things.
Has to be a brilliant whoosh, Shirley?

Naylor isn’t exactly a high profile journo, his followers are lap dog Brighton fans who believe everything he says.
