At 9.15 this morning, the last piece of the arch lifted off.

That might leave a bit of a gap in the club's planned time-lapse venture. Not to worry, it is only the arch (and the reason given for not re-locating the cam).

Great job Everest-getting down there before you head up to Leeds :thumbsup:

Great stuff:falmer::falmer:

Is it just the arch or are they doing any steelwork as well?

Arch end still not sitting flush on the thrust block. Cherry picker is up and down like a bloody yoyo.

No work going on on the west stand.

Thanks Everest. Terrific pictures. I waited around until 16.00 yesterday, and there was a lot of men pacing about and the cranes moving into position.

Oh dear it doesn't fit. The end into the thrustblock and the picture.

It'll be OK. This is engineering not guesswork. Couple of men swinging on that rope and it should bend into place.

Have we all got to get down there and jump up and down on it to get it in place?

Well I'm guessing that the distance to the top of the round bit is not the same as the distance of the plate on the bottom to the standy up bits. In engineering speak.
