Was absolutely awful...last ten minutes was the most exciting. The newcastle player marking the post decided to move off the post while the header came in from the corner and hit the post he should have been stood on, needless to say he got a bollocking from the keeper!

after last nights shambles..alan shearer has told his players to wear their squad numbers on the front of their shirts,......this is to make the supporters think the team are actually attacking:shrug:

There has to be a mix. The Premiership would be shit if big clubs kept going down and smaller clubs kept coming up. There is no way on earth I'd watch Wigan vs Blackburn, Portsmouth vs Fulham or Bolton vs Hull but I would definitely watch Newcastle vs Sunderland or Leeds vs Boro.

I'm more sympathetic to a Newcastle side managed by, say, Bobby Robson than a side under Shearer or Keegan.

I have to say that as a neutral at the game last night, the newcastle fans were superb. they never stopped getting behind the team. the atmosphere was great and was enhanced by the club giving out thousands of free scarves and flags. i personally believe that those fans deserve better.

Ashley has been trying to sell the club for ages and if they go down, he might be in a negative equity situation :tosser:

apart from when they were pouring out with 5 mins left to play. Never left early, don't agree with it, but I can see why some people leave when their team is losing 3 nil or so. However, a must win game like last night was for Newcastle, unforgivable that they were leaving in their droves when a goal would have given them EXACTLY what they all turned up for.

Eh he stated about 6 months ago that he was in it for the long term. Still hope they go down though, in fact I'd love it.

He stated he was in it for the long haul when he realised no mug was going to meet his asking price

Might find he drops about £100 million on the whole shebang

Rich guy's toys eh?

Q. What's the difference between Alan Shearer & Newcastle United?

A. Alan Shearer will be on Match Of The Day next season!

Boom, boom.

Yes, obviously a FEW fans did leave but the majority did not and continued supporting the team.

I guess I just don't see where the delight on this board at Newcastle's failings comes from...
