CH will have a massive chart on his office wall that shows 90 points and the games we expect to pick them up in and the results that will be a bonus. I'm certain that having played Newcastle, Sheff Wed, Reading, Derby & Birmingham away during the first half of the season that he would've been delighted to have got to half way with 45 points. So to be here with a possible 51 is impressive.

90 should get us up but to be top dogs and take the trophy would forever be in our history

Wednesday have been the better side, from what I've seen. They've chased everything down, won the fifty-fifty balls (and committed a fair few fouls too), and their passing has been more incisive. Newcastle have been largely running up blind alleys.

Six minutes added time for the home side to fashion something. Funny, as I'd have expected a bigger roar from the home fans when that board went up. It's almost as though they've given up.

They've shown the rest of the division how to play against Newcastle.

Not sure a Wednesday win is a great result in the grand scheme of things but it does give the lads extra motivation for tomorrow's game knowing if we win we'll go top...

The trick to get out of the Championship is to win the home games!

"a trickle of home fans leaving", says the commentator, as vast swathes of grey seats start to appear*

*Note to Return of the Rev: I am well aware the same happens at the Amex...that's kind of the point

IF we win tomorrow, this could be a great result and with Shelvey out for a while it might cause a loss of confidence and a wobble for the Toon?

Wednesday have also missed a hatful of chances. All very encouraging from both sides. Well, as much as can be gleaned from one game that is.

Discalimers:

No Shelvey for the champions elect.

No Hooper for Massive.
