Sorry I'm still bitter. Chelsea to lose in injury time to a ridiculous VAR decision goal that the rest of the world knows should have been ruled out. I will then enjoy Potter's prickly post match interview where he strokes his beard, scratches his nose and declares " it is what it is "

Anything but a Newcastle win. After we put 11 past Villa tomorrow we'll go back above Chelsea and then will also only be 3 points with a game in hand behind Newcastle.

Newcastle are our competition to be the best of the rest and it'd be nice to finish above them before they fully establish themselves as a gazillion spending 'super' club.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
I have no thoughts whatsoever about this.

They could have some half-time entertainment culturally reflective of their respective owners - Potty, Bjorn and Benny could do an emotionally intelligent reimagining of The Crucible by Arthur Miller, while the cheeky, fluffy old ‘Toon’ could have some local Geordie lasses raped and tortured on the pitch, followed by the beheading of some gay local men, Howay the lads!

“Too much?” (Jimmy Carr)

If you look at the reactions here a year ago, and then compare it with the answers in this thread... safe to say sportswashing works.

pretty obvious really given the thread title 🙄
Lighten up fella, it's a joke. The two clubs in the thread title have both gone up the league on the back of dirty money from a grubby state.

Watching the arsehole that is potter atm on Sky , moaning about too many games with the CL games , FFS isn`t that why he said he wanted to go there ? , I want the Geordies to grind them into dust .

"Crush your enemies , see them driven before you , and hear the lamentations of their women ".....................too much :lolol:

Well they haven’t both stripped our back room bare of staff for sure
Its tough one.

Stealing (well, paying like £90m) staff and a left-back is a hideous crime, but you could say similar things about beheading journalists, bringing in millions of poor Asians and Africans and keeping them essentially as slaves, torturing gay people, stoning women, increased amount of death penalties for people committing crimes such as supporting human rights etc is arguably up there on the same level, but obviously that take might be biased by my perception of GP as a decent man.

I think Chelsea will probably finish higher than us but I did have initial hopes that we would finish above Newcastle,.. So if we had hopes of a European spot I suppose a Chelsea win would be best….. It doesn’t though sit right with me that.
They won’t finish above us if Potter loses the dressing room, with the current prima donnas he has inherited, and Boehly sticks with him for a complete squad rebuild in the summer

0-0 very bad tempered draw with a couple of sendings off for me

Newcastle may not finish above us either, I’m not convinced they are that good :lolol:
