A long long day but a great one. Met some decent newcastle fans on the train up and in bars after the game. Talked to a few of theirs walking back to the station and they were complimentary about our team/club and how we handled them yesterday.

Every club has its dickheads but I didn't seem to bump into any theirs yesterday

Would anyone tech savvy be so kind as to provide a clip or gif of Almiron’s extraordinary dive?

Really relieved he did that rather than, you know, run in and score.
Well as featured on MOTD it was no worse than Enciso’s. Both were embarrassing and both rightly booked. I think they should also dish out retrospective bans for simulation.

We had the same experience. I've never had so many home fans just randomly come up and speak to us. Started on the train heading up and then sat opposite two Newcastle fans on way back for a while and we didn't stop chatting about football. In the station before heading back I was checking connecting train times on my phone while my mate was in the loo. A couple of Geordies again just randomly came up and asked me what time we'd started in the morning and wished us well for the journey home. All genuine lovely people.

They were a darn sight better than the random drunk lady who got on at York after a hen do, sat next to me, cadged a beer, sent my son to the buffet car for a sandwich and offered sexual favours to the train guard if he didn't penalise her for having a ticket for a different train. Luckily she got off at newark

I’ve just watched our clip on MOTD and was amused by the references to the Olympics and the Paraguayan diving team.

We like draws, don't we? 12 draws this season, more than any other Premier League side this season - will we get any more?

On the stream I was listening to, the pundit (obviously a Geordie) went on and on about Enciso's dive and how he hates it, ruining the game.

A few minutes into extra time, 1-1, Almeron swan dives in the penalty box and excuses him going down saying he was 'expecting' a touch and should have stayed on his feet. No real condemnation even though he tried to cheat the way to win the game. Tosser.

To those who went, really pleased you saw a decent game, I expected another drubbing like last season. The noise you made came across loud, clear and constant. Pretty impressive in such a partisan stadium so far from home, I am sure you helped the team over the line

The commentary team were embarrassing in their bias all game, at the start of the second half “we are just waiting for Newcastle to take control of the game again” was just one of many comments that are unacceptable from commentators who should just be commentating.

In a pile of football shirts
Can anyone who was there post a couple of photos of the gratis t-shirt they gave out?
