That last attack sums us up.
Seconds to go, free kick, Sanchez, Dunk and Duffy in the box. Cross comes in at ankle height.

We need an attack coach, 2 wingers and a striker.
Now top 10 is out of the equation, please give some of the development players a chance.

We go behind again and allow teams to put 11 men behind the ball. Newcastle weren't all that despite their form and looked very nervy at the end, but as always absolutely no threat from open play.

Only positive today was we scored and the set pieces looked a bit more threatening than usual. Questions have to be asked about Potter - we just don't win enough games under his management and in recent games his tactics and subs have quite frankly been baffling.

Having had a quick look at the fixtures I can’t see us reaching 40 points. We won’t be relegated but that’s really disappointing given our start to the season.

Extremely disappointing that we look destined for 14th-16th rather than top half now. Time for a clear out in the summer. Not just based on today, but March, Welbeck, Groß, Duffy and arguably Sanchez need replacing.

At least there's no threat of relegation... Right?!

Dead right Icy.

Newcastle were chasing shadows most of the game.

Proud of the boys, guts, temperament, and class.

All about points Mouldy . And entertainment. I don’t want Potter to go but he is not the great manager some make out in here or not as bad as some make out .

Dominated possession. Not goal scoring. And that's what counts. Absolutely nothing entertaining about constantly passing it sideways. And we were the worse team against Villa and absolute dogshit against Burnley.

Are you going to fork out 40m for a decent center-forward then???

Let's be realistic, we know what boom and bust does, we have been there before.

Do you really believe that we are a poor side then???

No disgrace in that defeat, we were the better team, Newcastle got the breaks. No doubt some will be SCREAMING Potter out because they are now entitled and expected Newcastle to roll over and can’t take four defeats on the bounce

About time you started reading the room mate!

We are on a dreadful run and it doesn’t matter if we battered them for 90 minutes. There are no pictures Ona scorecard…we lost 2-1 to a team we should be beating if we are looking to progress…as we should have done against burnley and Aston Villa.

If we are not careful, alll our good work the first half of the season is in danger of unravelling and I am sure we won’t go down, but we are not very good at all at the moment!

BTW Championship table looking bloody marvellous at the moment!

yeah , i'm sorry but if solly is the answer i dread to think what the question was.....and Bissouma sits the game out although i thought Alzate had a good game .

While I am gutted with the result it was at least an improvement, Albion won the second half and other than the 2 goals Newcastle never looked like getting another.

Every team goes through a slump and the Albion are no exception, the question is how quickly we can get out of it.
I choose to take the positives and one is that even with big changes to the team, Albion still looked quality........ Keep the faith one positive result will lead to a strong finish with our highest position and points total.

Even home teams are now counter attacking us from the off.

Rope a dope, let our 10 outfield players naively push up, then destroy us in the very welcome empty half.

Only Liverpool spring to mind in doing the same, VVD and his partner 40 yards from Alisson.

Next week should see the Albion's season's finale, a goal fest with two teams pushed up to the centre-line.

After that, 10 games against crafty counter attackers.
