Considering we ended Sept with no striker signings I think Chris has worked wonders.
I defy anyone to honestly say they wouldn't have taken this position (including style of play etc) at the end of August.
I'm absolutely delighted with the season so far and intend to keep on enjoying it whatever happens.

It's amazing how quickly people forget. I was really worried when we didn't sign a striker and was hoping we could get 16-18 points by the time we got to January. We have 22 points and have spent no time so far in the relegation zone. Every point we've won we've earnt, none have been fortunate and in fact we've left points on the pitch. A good transfer window and we can finish top half. No striker and I'd still back us to stay up.

I think people have a right to be somewhat concerned about the fact we've scored one goal from open play in our last TEN. Not a 'Hughton Out' shout at all, and it was a decent point today despite the poor performance, but I can't help feeling our survival hinges on getting the right striker in next month.

We are beginning to sound like Norwich fans, & that worked out well for them, didn't it?
That's a bit uncalled for, surely? Haven't seen anyone - certainly not on this thread - calling for him to go. Yes, there's been plenty of concern about our lack of attacking threat, but that's as much about taking chances (or rather, sadly, not taking them) as about the way we set up. I don't suppose CH has told Knocky and March not to shoot - if they've lost the confidence to do so, I'm sure we've got sports psychologists strolling around Lancing........
We've dominated a game, had more shots (and more on target) than the opposition, and we are disappointed we didn't win it. That's not like the Norwich support was. We're very much 'Hughton in!' thank you very much!

Two games in less than 48 hours.

That literally makes no sense! The players on the bench haven't had loads of game time so would have been fresh. And 10-15 minutes is hardly likely to knacker them out. And it could have given a rest to some of the players on the pitch.

Not everyone is unfortunately. I've even read that we should be scoring goals like Man City. Talk about unrealistic expectations.

Good point today, our lack of goals is frustrating but it's points on the board that count.

Talking about taking things to the extreme and hyperbole.

Pretty much everyone is 'Hughton in'. We are allowed to talk about our frustrations about how we're not offering much going forward. This is a discussion forum.

A rather annoying end to that game. There for the taking, but our attacking outlets were few, and our aim seemed to nab that precious point rather than three. Could have been so much more, with a thin slice of dare consumed. Still, liked our midfield slickness, and hope we're given so much space to continue with that, and get a strike or two toward goal as we do.

I agree with the majority, but I honestly don't think any new striker would've made any difference at all today. The service put in to Murray and Hemed was awful, as it has been the last few weeks. We just seem to lack any form of creativity going forward.

Possession passing football is the best form of defence and it went to plan. Now to work out a way to score a goal?

Another 90 minutes and neither team would have scored, bar a double deflection or a dodgy penalty.

He hasn’t been given a decent run yet but from what I’ve seen of him Izquierdo has lots of creativity and a quick striker who could keep up would give us a chance of a goal now and again. He’s way too fast for the likes of Murray and Hemed to get up there to receive the ball after some wing wizardry. Knocky and March would both benefit too instead of constantly having to either try going alone (doesn’t happen often) or stopping looking up (or not in March’s case) realising there’s nobody in the box so have to pass backwards.
