Drive up Friday, overnight at Premier Inn and return after game. Will be pretty weary but 3 of us sharing the driving. First time in the ground so looking forward to it. Spent some time up there many moons ago, great nightlife and atmosphere with Stella at £1 per pint (it was a long time ago) and broken glass trodden into the pub carpets. Pure class!

Has anyone done this one on Seagulls Travel? Wondering what the pick up/drop off time at the Amex is likely to be. I'm guessing 7am / midnight or something?

No one boycotting this game then?

No. But I'll do my best to join in and share my displeasure at their embrace of the carbon-pumping, murderous regime. Bit torn because not only is Newcastle the best away day, but the locals are so welcoming and generous. Will probably have to tell them both sides of this when they stop for a chat.

Loads left at the moment for Tier 2 tomorrow (around 900 - not sure what initial allocation was and can't be arsed to count the sold seats)

Just had a look and currently 3 top tier blocks L7K L7L and L7M open each about 28 wide by 18 deep so just over 500 seats in each and 3 smaller sections LL7K LL7L and LL7M just below them , roughly 70 seats in each so grand total of about 1700 released .
currently showing about 950 available .

So as you said about 900 available earlier and someone else said original release was about 1300 it would appear club have already opened some more during the day .There are also several more blocks blacked out at the moment but who knows if they will open or not ?

One time I went there for a weekend, all the staff on the doors in the Big Market were wearing bullet proof vests. Bit of a war between two "firms" over who had the right to provide security apparently. Also got thrown up a flight of stairs by a bouncer, trying to nip out the fire exit at the back rather than fight my way to the front door in a very busy bar.

Not long to finish stair climbing training to ensure you can complete the stair climb in one go, rather than stopping for a rest(s) on the way up.

I went once on ST, I seem to remember it was a 19 hour round trip. We got to the ground about 45 minutes before kick-off so didn't have time to sample the local hospitality.
The game finished 0-0.

The only positive I can take from this story is that they didn't score a winner in the 94th minute.

No but I think its even earlier. It was around 7am for Leicester. Its 10.30am for a pick up from Haywards heath for Watford 3pm for example.

I thought 7am sounded a bit optimistic :lolol:

My pal recently went to watch Argyle at Sunderland - bus left at 3.30am.

Back in the bad old days of scrapping in League 2, l can remember leaving Conway Street at 5am for a trip to Hartlepool.

There is no work currently scheduled that weekend so hopefully not. I can see it's unconfirmed in the planner.

Not sure how your searching that, but National Rail and Trainline both state buses to 3bridges and back
No engineering works showing on the Southern Calendar- https://www.southernrailway.com/travel-information/plan-your-journey/planned-engineering-work

On the Nat Rail app it says "we don't know yet if your journey will be affected by engineering works check back nearer the time"

So fingers crossed. Those buses weren't showing on the planner when i booked.
