I may be lacking in ambition for the Albion but I would fecking HATE a takeover like that. The soul of the club would be sold imo.

I find it interesting that so many 'supporters' of Citeh, ManUre, Cheski, Arse and others can apparently happily turn a blind eye to foreign ownership, and yet so many of them are allegedly not socialist interantionalists, greens or liberals. Apparently many are Brexit supporters. Indeed, about a third of active posters on NSC are Brexit supporters. And we are a soft souther club with a newly elected Green Euro MP. Why aren't there mass demonstrations at every foreign owned game, demanding that the foreigners be thrown out? What are the 'footy lads' doing about this? Why isn't there a mass movement for taking back control of our clubs?

???

Similar rumours about Leeds as well. It’s the only way a club will break the top 4 closed shop is that type of takeover. Sad really but then this is nothing new is it

There are 2 clubs in this country that can make such a take over fail.

Newcastle and Leeds.

I would find it impossible to stop laughing if the horse punchers got this deal and some how managed to get relegated as well.

Better the devil you know, than sell out to an oil rich conglomerate, that know about Newcastle Utd as much as Toon fans know about sand!

I think I'd have to walk away. As difficult as that would be.

Of course it's easy to have morals when you don't have that sort of decision to make.

I know exactly what you mean. Hell, I was even missing Withdean on occasions last season. (around flaskgate and the bottle top ruling) The idea of the club falling into a billionaire’s hands, to be used as an egotistical plaything would be too much for me.

Will secure Newcastle’s PL status ad infinitum, if true.

Before petro and/or corrupt money started buying PL clubs, even clubs such as ManC and Chelsea spent time in the lower divisions.

With this growing trend, it will squeeze the likes of Brighton, Burnley and Palace into an ever diminishing number of PL spots.

Not healthy for the game in England & Wales.
