Very good point but mine was slightly different, in so much as they have been doing a Man City and Chelsea long before Man City or Chelsea were ever seen relevant.
Nope, because it holds fond memories of simpler times following the Albion and I occasionally miss it.
Does this include getting rid of the foreign players too? MOOT point I think
I think we’re all agreed then.
ManU have always topped the club income league, by being ahead of the game on commercial income from unconnected third parties.
Enabling their huge spend on players going back 35 plus years.
A fair chunk of their money though, I believe, comes from them essentially whoring out every piece of commercial sponsorship they can. One report last year has them generating ~£238m from 68 commercial deals and that's even more astounding considering their dip in relevance league-wise. If they're doing that every year, and one assumes they'll end up generating more, it's easy to see how they can afford big money players.
How long before we start seeing £1b signings and players earning £1m a week?
How long before we start seeing £1b signings and players earning £1m a week?
How long before we start seeing £1b signings and players earning £1m a week?
As Bale is on £650,000 a week I'd suggest not long.
It's all about Nigel Farage becoming Palarse new manager.
Surely they can't do a "Man City" as they will need to be in line with FFP and P&S?
I thought City started spending big before the FFP and P&S came in hence why they can take the p1ss now?
There would need to be some serious cash injection from sponsors and can't see them being able to pull it off to the heights that City have and gotten away with.
I admit I could be completely missing something and not understanding it correctly.
Brown ale and stottie cakes. Does that not mean anything to you?
