Thanks for the twin reminders; York Tap is great and Liverpool again in two weeks. Woohoo!York Tap in... erm, York Station, is very good as well. Run by the same lads as the Sheffield one. Great range of beer, occasionally a slightly odd smell.
The little pub in Doncaster station is good as well.

And I'm getting distracted now, but the pub in Stoke station's decent, whatever it's actually called. Admittedly last time I had to do my best "football match? What? I'm just waiting for a train to Manchester" to be allowed in after the game.
Anyway, I was supposed to be meeting my Geordie friends in The Town Mouse before the game on Saturday, but pulled out after realising that this was pretty much incompatible with me doing Sober October. I think this is the worst away day for that, with the possible exception of Liverpool.
