I'm struggling to stay awake here, I really would appreciate a couple of quick wickets to help me keep going. Please.

Much appreciated.

I know Jimmy's bowling well, but I think the cricketing gods helped a little there for the match symmetry.

I saw one guy in a Harvey’s brewery shirt and another in a shirt saying something like Brighton in my Blood today at the ground, so there are a few of us Brightonians at the Cello Basin!

I see Anderson is closing in on Warnie...

I suppose the only thing to ponder upon is forcing the follow-on. ???

I would say no, they'll need a rest, but we've only bowled 42 overs. If we get 3 quick enough, why the hell not.

I was wondering about this. They prefer chasing. So it would interesting to see what happens if they tie it up quickly.

Weather outlook is dreadful with many interruptions likely, so plenty of rest opportunities for our ageing weary attack. I reckon there will only be about 125 overs squeezed in over remaining 3 wet days, so surely we have to enforce the follow-on and then thrash the bat to get over the line.

Although i do acknowledge that allegedly Broad hates wet balls….
Is the weather set fair for day 5? Because if not, Broad is getting a wet ball regardless of which days we bowl. As you say, with breaks in play our bowlers will get time to rest and we won't have time to waste batting out another few sessions, so get them to follow on.

Another 'early' start due to overs lost - 9.30 PM UK Time.

Mrs Jakarta none too impressed with me creeping into bed after midnight 2 days running so probably will have to make up a good reason e.g. waiting for Jimmy to get his five fer... :lolol:
