The two things I've been to Wembley for have been excellent. Play off final and Beastie Boys at the Arena (revolving stage, supported by Jungle Brothers and Bentley Rhythm Ace) are both fixtures in my memory. I am also looking forward to a right old MINCE up at the Scissor Sisters gig. WICKERD!

Makes me wonder if we're going to be ready to stage the olympics in 2012.

Basically the FA had no track record or experience of building work, programme management, planning and basically how to manage sensitively relationships with anyone let alone contractors.

The Olympic Team has got the best people (we) can buy with experience in all the key fields and more. The Olympic Stadia are around £2bn over 4 years, we have people on board who manage projects of that magnitude in a year.

The stadiem will be built on time but whether the housing will be is another matter?

People tend to forget the emirates was started after Wembley, had bigger planning issues, had to fit in in a constrained site but was built within time and within the margins of the budget allocated to it.

Peolple also forget that the UK is knocking up tower blocks, shopping centres etc all arer of the scale of Wembley or the Olympics if not bigger . No problems . On budget. No problems.!!

Wembley is just a Bates cock up.

Simple - we should have kept Wembley and built a new stadium on top of the Millenium Dome. Sell Wembley for a fat profit and keep the yank gamblers out. Sorted!

The new stadium should of been built in the Midlands anyway
Yeah I agree. If you were looking for a good site for a new national stadium would you really choose a crowded, inaccessible corner of North London? We had a golden opportunity to break with the past and build the stadium somewhere a bit more central and the FA bottled it.

Building the best stadium in the world is never going to be a doddle. If they had have built a millennium stadium it would have held the cup final 3 years ago.It will be worth it in the end.
