[NSC] New weird adverts

Also been struggling with pages reloading for at least a month now. In fact I’ve had it happen whilst writing this post

However my latest issue is videos I have playing in the background stopping when I open NSC. YouTube videos mainly, using Safari on an iPhone. Presumably it’s an advert that’s cancelling out but who knows.

Been having this issue for a month now (above post from 20/10). Happens more often than not when I originally open NSC and now&then when I’m browsing.

It’s really, really annoying. Assumed it was an ad but I’m not sure I’ve ever actually seen/heard the ad. It just turns my Spotify/Youtube audio off.

I'm reinstating the line of code that very likely caused the issue yesterday, so you may want to mute your device if something unexpected starting to play isn't helpful for you.

This is only to allow the vendor to investigate what is happening, as they say it can't be their code, whereas I'm 99% sure it is.

So, please read this line: IT"S NOT A PERMANENT CHANGE.

Is it also a visible banner? If so, where?

I'm pretty sure I know what it will be, as I've only made one change to NSC in the last six months or so, and it was on Monday afternoon.

The change should only impact a small number of NSCers, and certainly not patrons.

I can quickly remedy that however - I’ll do some testing of my own.

Sorry for the later reply. I switched NSC off for an hour or so and whatever you did has done the trick, and no further issues have arisen. There was no obvious banner. It was an audio advert.

I have suddenly started getting sound adverts (two for Amazon) when looking at NSC. The only way to stop them is to refresh. And then minutes later they start again. Weird.
