Small miracle? For all the money he has spent, I thought that you would be expecting better.

How when he only had two recognised first teamers at the club in the summer could we rightly expect anymore?

To be safe? To not be threatened with relegation this season is just what I (and the vast majority of Leeds fans) would have taken at the beginning of the season. If in August last year someone had offered me 21st place I'd have snapped their arms off.

My sister works at TA and when the playing staff reported back for pre season - Kelly, Duberry and Chief and Blacky where there. Three players (one who was crocked for good second game of season, and there are two longterm sicknotes at TA as well). In 7 weeks he spent no money but managed to beg, steal, borrow and raid the academy for a 17 man squad (it wasn't until after the start of the season he spent money), 27 players have made their full Leeds United debuts this season, he created a team from scratch, he might have spent on three players, but there are 24 other players at the club (or already gone - Deane, JJ, etc) he got for nothing or was forced to play when they should have been at home doing their homework etc. And that bunch of odds and sods, who aside from Healy/Hulse are other clubs rejects and misfits managed to get us to mid table obscurity and that's just fine.

Got a lot of time for Blackwell, he took the 'posion chalice' job - watched the enitre first team aside from Kell and Dubes be sold out from under him, it's his first time in management, he has never been in charge before, and took on - what was a club fast going down the pan, who a lot of people expected to crumble further, he stopped the rot. And that's pretty miraculous to us.
