It's Ady Boothroyd, I do believe.

Top guy. Been at Leeds with Blacky would have liked to see him stay but hey ho, he's been in charge of the academy/kids as well as being one of our first team coaches at Leeds and done a pretty decent job.

Imagine what the reaction would have been like if we'd emulated Watford over the past week.

Sacked Mark McGhee after losing to Coventry.
Released Guy Butters, Jake Robinson and Richard Carpenter.
Loaned out Leon Knight for the rest of the season and got a defender in return.
Appointed a novice manager who's biggest previous job was as Leeds youth team coach. A "nice bloke" who appears to have got the job due to being a mate of the chief executive.

Would you be confident of staying up?

I think they'll pull it off. Ady will have his own ideas/theories about the team/tactics etc, I think they'll stay up.

They let Danny Webber go on loan to Sheffield united in part exchange for Danny Cullip:eek:

Bit like Palace letting andy Johnson go on loan to Arsenal and taking Cygan in return

the expression is "No brainer"

LONDON, March 29 (Reuters) - Struggling English second division club Watford named 34-year-old Adrian Boothroyd, a man with no previous managerial experience, as their new boss on Tuesday.

Boothroyd becomes the youngest manager of an English Premier League or Football League side, having turned 34 last month. He is several months younger than Fulham's Chris Coleman and Notts County player-manager Ian Richardson, who are also 34.

Boothroyd played for various English lower division sides and for Scottish Premier League club Hearts.

He then worked as a coach at Peterborough, Norwich City and Leeds United, who released him to take up a 12-month rolling contract with Watford.

He will be assisted at Watford by experienced former Tottenham Hotspur manager Keith Burkinshaw.

Watford, who are four points above the relegation zone with seven matches remaining, sacked coach Ray Lewington last week.

This is I suppose similar to say, Martin Hinshlewood taking the job at a club in a similar position........ What happened next???:lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

Also similar to Blackwell at Leeds, a man with no previous experience whatsoever who managed to work a small miracle at the club. Think Ady will keep Watford up.

Small miracle? For all the money he has spent, I thought that you would be expecting better.
