I have always been a huge fan of U2 their last album was great and this next one promises to be equally as good. Hopefully another tour to accompany it. Live they are amazing.

I saw U2 at Roundhay Park once.

Took 2 hrs+ just to get out of the car park.

I saw them at the Marquee when it was in Wardour Street and the band were just off the boat. Must have been, dunno, 1978, 1979, something like that. NME & Sounds (or Paul Morley and Dave McCullough to be more precise) were going crazy over them, even in those early days.

The new stuff is supposed to be much closer to their earlier albums 'Boy' and 'October' than it is to their recent releases. Which is nice.

Vertigo sounds great to me.

I first saw U2 at Brighton Top Rank in 1983!

There was a narrow catwalk type thing that went from the stage into the middle of the audience about a foot high. Bono spent most of the performance on it, anybody could touch him. It was packed in there, a real high energy perfomance, everybody left drenched in sweat. They couldn`t have been big enough for the Brighton Centre then.

The next time I saw them was at Wembley Stadium on the Joshua Tree tour.

Haven't heard the new one yet but looking forward to it.

First gig was Hammersmith Palais, 1981. Adam Clayton cracked a six-pack with my girl and me on the balcony after the show. I had to decline the beer, of course, but it was still fun. Sadly the babe didn't like them much...
