That was tongue in cheek remark as many have said that Dickenson does not look like he will ever score a goal or even know where the goal is. Could just as easily have put Davies as the same applies or did do last season but now people are advocting he will be our saviour. Oh well we will move on

Surely it should be £673,291 on a striker, and £326,709 on an attacking midfield player.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.....Jo Kuffour

Can't see Rovers selling him as they have just got £1million for Lambert and won't want to sell their other main striker. Also, I think we have got to find a target man to play alongside Dickinson, who I think will be happier playing off someone who can win the ball in the air as that is one of his weaknesses.

I would like to see Davies and Dickinson given a few games together before we splash the cash bringing someone new in. With Dickinson droping deeper winning the flick ons for Davies to run on to with all his pace and energy. a la Bent and Jones at sunderland!!

somebody mentioned Nathan Ellington the other day, wages may be a bit high but, he just might be fed up sitting on his arse at Watford

Yes -against Walsall. He looked mobile and won a few headers.

I saw that he was mobile but there were threads on here about how poor he was in the air against Walsall for aman of his size and it was stated that heading is not one of his strengths although he is over 6ft 4in tall. As somebody else said he is just like Fleetwood was and ducks to avoid the ball rather than try to win the header.

I think he has quite good ball control and physical strength to shield the ball but have not seen much else to praise him for

People harp on about the wages and yes it must be an issue. We got rid of 17 players and have replaced them with 9.I realize most of them 17, may have been a lesser wage than what we have replaced them with, therefore evening things up.But suppose we do get promotion this season, in order to stay in championship, for the year till we get to Falmer, we would have to pay some players championship wages, on withdean gates. So why not one top class striker now??i.e Ellington/Sharp!!!To give us a real fighting chance in this league.

Last i heard was that he's on trial at Blackburn (not sure how he managed that), so would doubt it.

Played for Watford on Sat, so cant be at Blackburn now, cant see how they would want him anyway, didnt cut it in prem, much like so many before him.

Oh right, that article was 5th august anyway, Big sam said he was happy to give him another chance to impress in the top flight. Still dont think he would drop down to this division personally.
