Andy Naylor posted a tweet about a week ago saying that we should know the name of the new shirt sponsor before the Palace game.

I don't know who our new sponsors will be. But this seems as good a time as any to point out that, at one point in the '80s, Palace were sponsored by a video shop. Yup, a video shop.

Apparently that excellent kebab shop on Whitehorse Lane previously turned down the offer to sponsor them for fear of being dragged downmarket.

It's not going to be American Express. They've already got the stadium named after them so wouldn't the shirt sponsorships be a bit redundant?
