What's the point?
We have enough seats at present - can't fill them all.
Originally it was said that if they didn't go in by last Decemebr then the finances wouldn't work out.
The finances certainly won't work out on 6,000 crowds.

Obviously the financial projections have changed based on Falmer now being accepted to be a lot further away (time wise) than originally thought.

if they put in new seats then they will have to improve the sqaud to get the results that will fill these seats.
i'll believe it when i see it and also i thought they still had'nt sorted out the new park and ride at the top of carden ave as asda where objecting to it.
also the judgisal review brought by the local resident?
more chance of seeing a proven striker on the bench for us who can't get in the team as the two playing both have 60 goals between them. lets pray

If it happens, this will be a great development but it's taken so long it almost seems uninteresting.

True, it'll never stop the "hardcore faithfull" from going, but a classic case in point was I had a spare available yesterday and offered it to a mate who didn't want it because of the weather.

Somewhere over there...
i think we could do with the extra seats because yesterday we had the second highest attendance in Division 2 yesterday (beaten by Blackpool by about 1000) if and when we do get the extra seats though im assuming it will be behinf the west goal and wil be as big as V Block.

no it's a fair point my brother can't always make it and some times it's hard to shift his ticket.
its like anything you have to make it appealing to make people go

Ian Hart made a good point on his phone in yesterday.

If there's tickets left by Thursday before a game why not go to a local school and say "hands up - who wants them" in order to encourage people to get the Albion habit.

How would you feel about sitting near someone who get a free ticket when you paid your money?

If the low attendence trend continues, maybe a scheme along the lines of one full paying adult, two kids for a quid could be the answer? A decent advertising campagn on local radio should do the trick.

Or skip the two kids for a quid bit and just mount a decent advertising campaign on local radio that covers the catchment area. I'm sure there's very few people that know for example that the match ticket includes travel vouchers over an area from Shoreham to Haywards Heath to Seaford. What does the Marketing Manager find to do all day?

Does anyone recall how this is going to be done. I seem to remember Perry saying that we would have an East Stand rather than the two east stands at present. Isn't a new permanent structure as well? In which case could it not have a roof?

It sounds like some people either don't want promotion or don't believe it's possible.

WE ARE FIFTH IN THE TABLE ffs!

An extra 2000 seats is an extra £1 million a year income. Even allowing for the need to do a bit of marketing (and the need to pay for them to be installed) this is worth it, even for the short period until we move into Falmer.

It's odd, is it not, that many of the people who are saying it's a waste of time adding more seats are the same people who are saying that we need more money.

It'll also be good to have 1000 away fans sitting next to the singing sections.
