I would like to officially announce Tony Langridge as the new Chairman of the REMF. Tony posts as Woodingdean Gull. Tony has been brilliant organising the remf golf day and I know I am passing the baton on to safe and reliable hands. Thanks everyone for your help and support over the last ten years. Good luck Tony! Didn't know this was happening - would have loved to be given a chance! Obviously missed a thread or two!

Thanks Uncle for all your hard work and the thankless tasks you've performed. It wasn't easy at times as we know. Well done and congratulations for leaving the REMF in a brilliant position for a bright future!

I know we haven't always seen eye-to-eye, but I hope you are extremely proud of everything you've done with REMF and what it has achieved. I know you'll say "Oh others deserve the credit as well", but the simple fact is a large part of its success is down to you. All the best.

You've done a marvelous job over the last 10 years Gareth, taking great sadness and converting it into so much happiness for others.

I'm sure Tony can carry on your great work.

Just like to say "Thanks" for the kind words on this thread and also to say "Congratulations" to Gareth for doing such a superb job for the last ten years.

He's had to take some stick at times for whatever reason but has always given 100% to the REMF and its supporters.

Well done Gareth, you'll be a hard act to follow but I feel honoured to be asked to be chairman of the REMF and I'll give it my best shot.

Tony.....

Just adding my thanks to Gareth and also to express my joy in tony taking over.

It's really interesting that from the original game many years ago at south wick, Gareth was the last one who was Still involved in a official capacity. It is good to see that things have moved onwards from the original group of fans.
