Just far enough away from LDC
The material itself is known as a grumbleweed, is it not?
Kids today can just Google this stuff. Whereas when we were teenagers we had to buy or borrow them to see pics of a non famous Madonna doing artistic modelling or the future chair of lewes district Council showing off something akin to what the Coldstream guards wear on their heads.

Anyway, back to the thread. It seems they are still waiting for the utilities to be completed

Would certainly be an ideal route for first phase of reintroduction of trams. Terminus at Falmer, another at the Old Steine

Why can't we do stuff like they do in other countries? In Japan (pic below) they raise up the trams onto stilts to avoid congestion below.

These high-speed trains run on just one rail (halving the cost) whilst going twice the speed of "duorails."

If our council had a bit of vision we'd be zooming to the Amex on one of these.

But how long before a lorry demolishes one of the posts and cyclists complain about them?

I’m beginning to think Heineken are delaying the construction so they can sell more cans outside the stadium every match, bloody dutch, first with all their f***ing canals and now this.

When I went to Gamba Osaka in the Summer, the main form of transport to the ground was indeed monorails.

Reply to post 689:

What line of business are you in yourself? To a degree construction undertaken by competent builders is a bit like an iceberg in that 90% of the hassle/preparation time etc is never seen or appreciated. There are obviously cowboys/girls/them out there though.

Is this provided by SASTA? You can see by the queue in the photo that there aren't sufficient carriages on that to meet the demand.

What's the completion date for this monstrous carbuncle again? Ah yes, 2024/25.

I doubt very much it will make a difference to the train chaos at every game. We'll see.

I'm still unconvinced that a third platform for a short formation shuttle service could not be built at Falmer and Brighton.

And as others have said, a tram service up the Lewes Road would be great.

Add in and underground, and we're done!

North Stand Chat's very own Lyle Lanley here to try and get us to buy in after he sold monorails to Brackley Town FC, Torquay United, and Northwich Victoria (and by gum it put them on the map!)

So....there was a model /page 3 girl called Marina Baker (who apparently Daniel Craig was involved with). Just Google the pics but they're NSFW

She later became a wicca witch, married a musician. Her married name was Marina Pepper. She was an LDC councillor who objected fo our stadium and at one stage was chair of ldc (that's the equivalent of mayor for district councils).

She knew Ed, Roz and me. Guaranteed to open her mouth and put her feet in it. Superb if you wanted to get a daft quote from the opposition to be outraged at 😀

I popped along to the club shop yesterday and I see the fan zone is nearly finished......
We must have the same contractors as them up the road....

In fairness to the club - the ground work always takes longer. I expect the actual development building will come partially pre-fabbed and a bit Ikea in it's make up - almost pre-built off site and put into place in pieces fairly quickly. I wouldn't be surprised to see it go up quite fast once the ground works are completed.
