I guess if you’ve just been humiliated 4-1 and are looking at a third season finishing well below your rivals having given them 4 points for the last 2 seasons whilst simultaneously being miles behind in just about every metric of a good / big club, it will make you so desperate things…
To be fair, if I was a Palace fan I'd just ignore those things and look forward to my own club's European tour.

Oh.

The dream for me would be that this gets built and can incorporate Dicks bar, they remove entirely or move the police box to the north east corner, and in doing so it gives them the room to build a proper north stand upper tier with the necessary concourse. We can but dream...

It will only ever be a dream I'm afraid, a proper upper tier would only be possible if they removed the concrete supports that hold the roof supports in place and made costly structural changes. Would easily run into the mid 10's of millions I'd imagine which wouldn't make sense to add less than 10% to the capacity.

The club already have approval for the North stand development which would pretty much mirror the south and complete the stadium at 32,500

Even a tier of 5/6 rows like that, but get rid of the police box so it can join with the middle tier of the west stand would look great.

I agree, it would look amazing but just cant see being possible as those dog head supports sit right behind the cladding and are angled inwards. I guess it might be possible to wrap the west and east stand wings up to the roof supports then have a gap then add a few rows in the centre in of the north but I'm not sure the added seats would make financial sense. It would effectively be an expensive face-lift to add around 1000 seats.

I quite like the idea of a 1901 Club in the north stand.

This ‘development’ is surely the proposed 1901 north stand shelf?

I think that the club will make its way to the 32,500 capacity target seeing a new the north stand shelf and north east corner box step by step. Just like our rise up the tables.
What would be the cost benefit though? It would cost several million pounds for those structural changes just to raise the capacity by 700. At current prices that's just £500k extra a year!!

So showing a profit in 5 - 7 years? Sounds good to me.

Exactly where do you think it would go in the middle tier of the West Stand? You seem to think the club would try and create about another 700 cheap seats at the expense of the prime 1901 seats/boxes? That wouldn't affect me kn West Upper but clearly would make no financial sense.

Pardon? Have you misread? Simply saying a little tier over the north that joined the middle tier of the west would look good. But maybe not structurally possible.

I'm referring to where you suggested the Police box should go. Re reading it I see what you are saying but it did look like you were suggesting the Police box move there. That said, where would you put the Police box? You can't just get rid of it.

The north east corner maybe. A box similar in style to the one in the south east corner.

Why not?

Move it to the car park for all I care, all they do is look ay monitors whilst they guzzle doughnuts.

Yes you can, they can all sit in a portacabin somewhere. They are all just looking at screens of camera feeds anyway. It’s a stupid inclusion in the stadium really.
